Just a little tip for the Place Anyway Mod, Instead of having to leave build mode and selecting the item to active the menu, you can change the Activation Method to 'Grab and Release' and have it so it's Open Options Menu.. so when you quickly grab and release an object it brings up that menu. Saves all the exiting build mode and then waiting to load back into it
Important: Before you do ANYTHING you should always store the crops behind the yellow "workshop" house as once Marcy starts automatically farming them they can no longer be moved without crashing the game.
Just a note for anyone trying to duplicate the mod order used here. DON'T just dump them all into your game and start it up. Some of these mods have to be up and running first before others can be loaded. For example, Settlement Menu Manager (SMM) *must* be installed *and* running *before* you install anything that relies on it, such as the Gruffydd mods. If you don't do this, some of your menus will probably be missing.
@MoveTheMouse Oh, how I wish people would watch that video, or even just read the mod descriptions that give installation instructions. I keep seeing people post - or message directly - about how my mod is "broken", and it turns out they didn't run SMM first.
As a relatively new mod user, I have learned pretty quick the importance of installation and position order. Of course there are also some mods that aren't clear with their descriptions.
Lovely to see newbs taking on what me Cordless VII and norespwans used to do - even they’ve made a come back.. Perhaps it’s time to get my old channel running properly again when I’ve finished messing around with far harbor great job MTM don’t forget to watch Skooled Zone if you get stuck MTM
I'm not new to Fallout or creating content around it. I was posting Fallout videos in 2015 before NoRespawns. He does great stuff though.so glad the show brought people back to this game. Now to convince my wife to play.
@@MoveTheMouse I know lol glad you responded. Gotta say it is like being a newb all over again when we go back to FO4… Honestly how many times did you accidentally delete a house… in my days it was always and I mean always red rocket that took my miss clicks. Nice to see you breaking away from CS even though it’s starting to find its feet
I love rebuilding sanctuary hills , I know it's the first settlement but there is just something about it I love. I do also really think that Marcy long should have had some sort of quest available after you've made the settlement safe for revenge or something to change her attitude, like that could have been a good little side mission for lore
i watched your other video about loading the mods in and i am pleased i did, as i am new to this and had all sorts of issues, now i am on level 50 with only the odd minor glitch or stumble..the only thing i wanted to ask..on this video i notice you have USO workshop stuff, did you load these in at the end of installing the mods and then arrange them or were they installed in a specific order like in your previous video...many thanks
Give USO a try. Unlock Settlement Objects. There's also a standalone for any individual DLC you might have, or an All-In-One if you have the season pass. It gives you access to a bunch of objects in game, but not in the settlement building menu by default.
While i travel across the wasteland i usually look for tires and items to puck up so the world has less items loaded in the save . Not 100 percent sure thats how the game works but what ever the placebo maake me feel i guess
i learned about the place anywhere the other day, i'm getting it later. the problem im having is settlers not being able to step up or across gaps which you sometimes have to leave on a raised property plot, the steps either snap awkwardly or wont go just right. really annoying loli dont want to break my save tho man. Im deffo copying my save before getting the mods for building
If you go to the mod section then most popular. Then filter by time change that to All. Then go along that section until you see it or just search : registrator2000 the mod should pop up
Out of curiosity…. If I wanna use this load out but add Heather Casdin companion mod, liberty reborn minuteman mod, where would you put them in the load order?
i used the load order for the build mods that move the mouse did in this link, th-cam.com/video/xCncyy6b_SY/w-d-xo.html put Heather Casdin in after settlement supplies expanded, just bare in mind if you add any other workshop mods put them before Heather Casdin, i can,t help on your minuteman as i do not use it, but at the moment i am on level 50 and no real issues other than workshop being slow to kick in, but it was mentioned on the video in the link
Nice, I like the garage! I recently did a sanctuary rebuild too but place anywhere wasn’t working for me. Has Xbox had the recent update? Or maybe it is just my mod list
Hello as a vanilla player, I really struggle with a simple corner! I build a 3x3 base with floors, and its complete RNG if at the corner the walls are going to snap 90 degrees or or just wants to keep going straight, its really demotivating to build. any tips?
Bit of a late reply, and I personally haven’t played vanilla in a while, but here’s what I would try: A: try different angles. Move to different positions and constantly rotate the wall. It might not be facing the right direction to snap where you want it-especially when it’s acting finicky. B: When it snaps, try rotating it even if it doesn’t look like it’s moving. Sometimes it will be, and it’ll snap again to a different place or off of where it was when it hits a specific angle. C: Try changing the order in which you’re placing things. I can’t remember if you’re meant to place walls first then floors, or the other way around but it can be really annoying. Try seeing if something works better placed before or after others. D. If all else fails, you can try and pillar/doormat glitch the wall into place. Get it as close as possible. If the above happens, I’d recommend putting everything else you need to snap down *first,* so that you don’t have to worry about roofs and upper floors snapping to the wrong part if it’s slightly off. Something wonderful I learned about pillar glitching from another video is that you can also use it to get some really cool shapes you otherwise wouldn’t get! Don’t be afraid to suspend disbelief a little bit. Personally I’d recommend getting place anywhere just for the settings it provides, though. ^^ I hope this helps!
Why isn’t my fallout not working im on a normal xbox one.. and i recently made a new game with mods but now i cant even get past the loading game part it says black then kicks me to main menu
There should be a mod, where you can save while building. Or it just autosave now and than. I was building in a settlement, didn't make something major, but still something good.... and the game crashed...
I looked into the mod section, I typed scrap everything and no mods came up. This must be a mod that is only allowed in certain countries? In the movie War Games? The computer states something that works with this game. The best way to win? Is not to play. LOL.
If you remove this mod after you're done building, does everything stay in place? Asking because I've used the scrap everything mod and when I took it out, all of the items reverted to normal.
This is what makes the building mode so horrible. You have to spend days trying to build things, you have to watch these videos in order to figure out and remember all of this garbage, and the game doesn't even have a section that tells me this stuff. I have to use a chemistry table to build walls, and if I don't know about it, I need to go find a video on TH-cam to figure it out?

Yeah, live and learn - make Sanctuary Hills habitable for at least Preston’s crew before venturing into Concord for the missions.

I cover this in great detail in my linked video on getting started with mods.

Awesome refurb job👍Made me feel ashamed of my own efforts so immediately logged back on and started boarding up!! 😳
Laughing at Mouse talking and then pausing because Marcy had things to say, about stuff, ".. that's how they get ya!"

If scrappable items show as miscellaneous, check load order and ensure SCAP is very last.
It 100% is at the bottom of load order unfortunately.
@@MoveTheMouse I hope I didn't come across as condescending. Thank you for all your great videos. I've enjoyed them since Cities Skylines!
Red Rocket was my first settlement build. In fact, it usually is.

I have added these mods to my library on my phone and when I’m looking for them in game library they are not there any ideas ?
Unfortunately not. I did everything native on Xbox.

I can't find place anywhere on the xbox mods page.

It's not easy to find. Search is broken.
Search for "place objects in red zones" should be the only result.
And yes I'm on Next Gen Update + latest patch on Xbox Series X.
@@MoveTheMouse thank you! I'll look for it later! Building without it is beyond frustrating.
On Xbox Mods, can't remember which one its under either Most Liked/Favourite.. but if you filter to ALL TIME you will find it along these am sure

I do not recommend removing mods. Adding more can work, but you can run into problems. Removing mods usually messes up your save.
@@MoveTheMouse oh no. I think that's what's happening in one of my saves.
