They are genuine people. It is very impressive and touching to me that people with so much money have this attitude. A breath of fresh air. Normally I may be a little jealous for their prosperity, due to years of lack, but I AM happy for them.
I really like what they are doing! Sharing history with the Bahamas peoples through the museum, what a way to retire and fill your days with history and a treasure hunt! My birth stone is Emerald, and when I saw that emerald pendant, I just knew it was mine from a different lifetime!! Beautiful! The gold chains all superb craftsmanship! Thank-you so much for sharing! Happy hunting!
FANTASTIC!!!.. This to me is on the level of space exploration...Space may be the the Last Frontier.. But the Oceans are right here ...we haven't even scratched the surface or depths of what's down there.....fascinating.
Good job Sir, the old adage is “it takes money to make money, but you never gave up, plus you had your goals lined up. Congratulations to you and Happy Treasure hunting!!
What an awesome way to share your fortune. Pick one thing and do it well. Think of all the jobs, small businesses supported, like provisions for the boats and the visitors to Walkers Cay, good for them, living their best life, sharing their fortune and passions.
It raises questions about the historical significance of the treasure, the challenges and risks of deep-sea exploration, and the potential financial rewards of uncovering precious artifacts.
Too high risk now, because when treasure hunters find treasure, governments take them to court. I think one treasure hunting team found a $1 Billion in treasure, and a Court Judge ordered them to hand over the treasure to Spain. So if anyone finds any treasure (including coins on beach, etc. ) just don't go public. They should have sold it off to a private buyer overseas. Just to find this treasure the cost is astronomical, so it's not worth it if you are going to have hire an attorney to fight a country/go to court, and then get a small percentage AND also have to pay capital gains on income taxes once you get a settlement.
This guy spends like he's got billions. 300-400 million I doubt it. A superyacht and fleet of ships, a submersible That's got to be at least 150-200 million right there.
Yeah, his ship collection alone is $100 million, HE IS DEFINITELY DOWNPLAYING VALUE , sound familiar??? I'm actually grossed out by the guy....THE WAY HE MADE HIS MONEY ALONE...it seems like it ought to be, very rough for him and apparently the family to pass through the eye of the needle ...
I hope mother nature sinks that super yacht 😂 They are absolutely horrible for the environment and completely unnecessary. You can have a fancy af boat you could spend all day on, doesn't have to be a monstrosity. Bribing your wife is no excuse tbh. And I'm glad he's keeping the treasure accessible but I wonder if the descendants of those who it was taken from by the Spanish might like some in their museums...

Wait a minute, his wife's name is "Gigi Allen?" That's kinda funny. If you don't know - google "GG Allin". You've been warned though.

Just another pathetic story about the rich getting richer and the poor staying right where they're at.
