Better you do the fishing and she can be side kick treasure finder. The magnets he is using is incredibly strong and kinda dangerous when the snap on to something.
i`m UK and we`re so lucky in this beautiful country to have so much History.Where I live i`m 5 mins from forts built in the 1800`s,about a 50 min drive from Winchester our old capital,about the same from the nearest Hill Fort,30 mins from Portchester Castle dating from the Third Century and just over an hour from Arundel Castle.I hope you enjoy/enjoyed your stay here.
This is so AWESOME 🤩 i'd love to take my dad to something like this once before he gets to old to move around. he loves historical things, egypt, romans, he would love finding his own little treasures from these ages
I've been interested in archaeology all my life, and have watched Time Team for years. It must be so thrilling to be able to watch the excavation of a potentially important fine, let alone be the ones who actually do it. What a brilliant day!

It seems to me that he's traveling close to the same path that a Roman, who had a hole in his purse, took in ancient times. Fun stuff, it would be exciting to unearth those finds. Keep on keepin' on!

I am chomping also to know what's under the plates what a great adventure! I found a 75 mm projectile. This late summer down the road from my house, I am in Michigan, the DNR came to check it out we hid it under a tree, a local historian wanted to get it they never came back to get it and never heard anything from them it was a old Logging camp area I found it with my Ace 400 it was about a foot and a half deep underground wondering if there's any more out there kind of scary to dig something up like that, it weighs at least 40 pounds it's not even a foot tall I want to figure out how to post pictures of it here, 😀

I love that historic items have to be turned in so museums can decide if they want them. An excellent way to preserve all that amazing history. You and Niki are amazing!
I think whoever found the treasure should be compensated rather then told hey because that's treasure and now that its not in the ground anymore it automatically belongs to a museum which have been known to sell items from their back rooms so many times. Its like they automatically just get dibs on all found treasure kind of takes all of the excitement out of treasure hunting, especially since the majority of museums catalogs are in storage where they will never be seen again, just like the dirt.
@@thetayterminator1436look up treasure trove and the laws related to finds. The landowner and finder share the value the museum put on the find. It only covers precious metals or coins.,not the less important items ( though museums like to see them for information. The sad thing here these guys make no attempt to map where things have been found for anyone wanting to excavate it later.

You my friend, live one of the coolest lives I've ever witnessed. I would love to travel the world and find treasures in a camper van meet new people all the time and let's be honest, what better way to travel the world then with a beautiful woman that makes you happy as I'm sure you make her happy too. You don't stick to one type of hunting. I really love how you have the variety from magnet fishing to metal detecting in the fields to underwater and back again. I swear I'm not trying to end this on a bad note, it's not jealousy or anything I promise but you've got legs to help you do all that stuff that you do. I unfortunately am stuck in a wheelchair. If I started detecting I'd be the guy who digs a two meter hole before realizing Iv been detecting my wheelchair the whole time lol like a guy who accidentally wears steel toe boots on a dig LOL

Well, now it is so hard to wait for the update about that treasure. You are going to update us, right 😀 ? Lots of great finds you've picked up, great spot. ps, this year I had participated in my first metal detecting rally in Lithuania, and there were almost 700 participants (you both should come to take part in it next year), my oldest finds were 3 coins dated 1666.
Good news we might be seeing the Roman plates all restored and handed back to us in January 🙏 🤞 I shall forward pictures when it turns up😊 happy hunting..what a hobby 👍

I've got loads of them i go metal detecting around the BRITISH ISLES been doing it for 32 years found some amazing stuff.But I throw them in the loft and I keep saying I'll get them looked at by a specialist but never do it I've got tons of the stuff..

I think whoever found the treasure should be compensated rather then told hey because that's treasure and now that its not in the ground anymore it automatically belongs to a museum which have been known to sell items from their back rooms so many times. Its like they automatically just get dibs on all found treasure kind of takes all of the excitement out of treasure hunting, especially since the majority of museums catalogs are in storage where they will never be seen again, just like the dirt.

@@thetayterminator1436look up treasure trove and the laws related to finds. The landowner and finder share the value the museum put on the find. It only covers precious metals or coins.,not the less important items ( though museums like to see them for information.
The sad thing here these guys make no attempt to map where things have been found for anyone wanting to excavate it later.

You my friend, live one of the coolest lives I've ever witnessed. I would love to travel the world and find treasures in a camper van meet new people all the time and let's be honest, what better way to travel the world then with a beautiful woman that makes you happy as I'm sure you make her happy too. You don't stick to one type of hunting. I really love how you have the variety from magnet fishing to metal detecting in the fields to underwater and back again. I swear I'm not trying to end this on a bad note, it's not jealousy or anything I promise but you've got legs to help you do all that stuff that you do. I unfortunately am stuck in a wheelchair. If I started detecting I'd be the guy who digs a two meter hole before realizing Iv been detecting my wheelchair the whole time lol like a guy who accidentally wears steel toe boots on a dig LOL

But I understand it's a long way away and unfortunately with my conditions I cannot get on planes and being legless makes me very fearful of Open water.. enjoy yourselves and keep up the great work. I'll be in the hospital for a while yet so feel free to put out as much content as you like LOL, this place is pretty boring. But I lucked out and got really great nurses so it's not all bad! Omg such amazing finds, I was hanging on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was under the plates, hope my patience holds out till you let us know and I hope the museum either gives you a great price or you get to keep the rings. Either way thanks for sharing your great finds.

Well, now it is so hard to wait for the update about that treasure. You are going to update us, right 😀 ? Lots of great finds you've picked up, great spot. ps, this year I had participated in my first metal detecting rally in Lithuania, and there were almost 700 participants (you both should come to take part in it next year), my oldest finds were 3 coins dated 1666.

I've got loads of them i go metal detecting around the BRITISH ISLES been doing it for 32 years found some amazing stuff.But I throw them in the loft and I keep saying I'll get them looked at by a specialist but never do it I've got tons of the stuff..
