That's awsome that you got your orange storm in and working and on the plus side now you have 2 new free shipping boxes and packing to ship out your big pew pew prints when you sell them
Looks like a great printer for large models. You asked for feedback, but I'm not trying to offend by this response. I'm a 60yo semi-retired designer that worked for Shell, Enbridge, and Fluor Daniels for 30+ years. I'm not throwing shade but my side hustle gets $3-$5 per mini fidget (Zou3d) with 28+ each plate (without post production) on a multi A1 and P1S print farm. Personally, I can't justify a giant printer for my business model. But that's what I love about this community. There's room for all. I'm glad you are getting orders. You might also look at craft fairs. I paid off 6 A1's and a P1S in a month on Saturday craft shows and what my grandkids sold at school.
Appreciate it greatly, thank you. YOUR TYPE of comments are ultra welcome. Sounds like an amazing hustle. Although i'd rather get a triple root canal over going to a craft fair and interacting with other humans 🤣
Nice! I’m looking forward to what you are going to do with this. I create 3D models for tabletop gaming. I had a couple of sales, but I haven’t really launched or promoted my stuff aside from my TH-cam channel. I’m very optimistic when I do go forward in January which is my plan to dedicate everything into it. That giga is perfect to print a good sized wargaming board. I’m having so much fun 3D modelling. Keep up the good work.
Okay, I've been watching this journey from the beginning and it gets more exciting each day my guy. I think you'll find your niche with that big ass giga and you were on to something with the larger art pieces IMO... Personal example, as a nerd in my 40's I and many of my friends are into fandoms that are increasingly selling more large statues and art pieces. Transformers, G.I. Joe, Marvel, you get the picture. Anything that has a convention tied to it has a fandom buying the merch, including custom printed stuff which you could size and price accordingly. If you could pull it off, these go from anywhere between $600-3K each depending on size. You say you read all the advice from the comments, hopefully this gem ends up getting you paid in the end... Either way keep this up. You started this around the time I got my first bedslinger and I'm learning alot right along with you. Much success bro, never change.
Honestly, the giga is nice but what will probably be the issue in the future is the speed. Maybe in the future, take a look at ratrig vcore 4.0 with an IDEX system.
I really think the orange storm is a "because we can" product Makes a ton of publicity but I cannot imagine the market being big for a consumer large format printer
Not sure if it’s my phone or the printers are buzzing a little more. But you’re a little harder to hear than normal today 🤔🤷🏻♂️ But the giga seems pretty rad. Has me trying to think of random furniture or car parts could make
It's crazy how the price has changed on these things. I bought a Lulzbot back in 2016 that cost the same as the Giga but had a build volume smaller than the A1.
Yes, except for dedicated curcuit appliances, things shouldn't pull more than 1200watts. In my experience, printers pull no more than 150 watts, usually less, but they pull a LOT during the startup heating. You can change the gcode to lower the max power but that'll slow down the heatsoak startup. Also, I wouldn't respond to "the haters" in the videos, the rest if us don't want tl hear it, and you don't see other youtubers doing it.
the thing is at 220v you half the amp so for 220v it would be a 10amp pull and a room normaly has 10 ot 16 amp here so they would be all fine in china and all other places then usa as only usa and a few others uses 110v
It is. I got the letter and dealer will call me when theyre gonna come pick it up. The recall is over failing brakes but nobody uses the brakes on a tractor lol
You gave me an idea with your more intimate 3d models, I’ve designed a model (what a hassle) seems it would be one of those that would piss some online people off, it’s an erect male member with an attached horseshoe 3d models, building it specifically for friends who are "fucking lucky" smile have a few other similar models in mind.
why Elegoo Giga and not a Tronxy printer, e.g. Veho? How is elegoo better than Tronxy, which can have a larger number of heads and a larger working area?
Air flow in that garage is breaking off supports. I promise man. PLA shrinks as it cools and can warp parts that way. A small draft from the garage door the mini split moving air can have an effect. I am willing to bet money your enclosed Bambus don't pull off supports mid print. Because enclosed. Humor me enclose one of the Kobras and see if you still get the same failures. I bet you don't.
the giga is a bit to big, your going to have accuracy and layer issues at that size, there a reason most printers don't go past 350 in size, i do have a 500 size machine incoming but its build on a much stronger frame and system ( ratrig vcore 4 idex)
Hey bro (just kidding we’re not brothers) just getting ready to subscribe, hold on, Just did it, subbed…… what was the tipping point in subscribing? Bald or balding connection.

It’s cool that you got the Giga and they made updates. It’d be cool to see some of the legacy reviewers do an update on the changes made.

Check out enclosures for that Giga. I can’t recall the vendor name - they posted a video recently - it’s a pretty clever structure
I found a guy on tiktok and hit him up

Awesome.the sky the limit. Maybe big letters to print. Anyways congratulations

Also bit the bullet before possible tariffs hit us next year and their impact. Bought a Bambu P1S combo, be here today supposedly.
nice!
Want to see the largest wasps nest you can print on the giga. Should keep the wasps away from my property 😂.
Lolol. Murder hornet nest
I am grateful for my aunt having a road worthy car
Wrong channel hombre but thats great to hear lol

Thanks. But clapping back is so very juicy, lol
But, noted, ty
It is a commercial machine when most commerce is exchanged to use it, in my opinion.

Go big or go home, and you're already home!
Maybe have a look at motor bike panels, people are always dropping their bikes.
Impressive printer !

Not eager to run 150' of 10 gauge though! Plus my 400a service is pretty much maxed. I eat a lot of juice
Not trying to be nosy but did you check to see if your tractors on the recall list?
It is. I got the letter and dealer will call me when theyre gonna come pick it up. The recall is over failing brakes but nobody uses the brakes on a tractor lol
That thing is massssive lol god damnnnnnn bro 😮😂😂😂
I think we're long-lost twins, started crypto farm, now printing farm. And yes, my storm giga just arrived too.
Let me guess, crippling social anxiety but also type-A personality and a dash of substance abuse?
@@TechnicalsTinkers Damn, I feel that. 😅
@@TechnicalsTinkers I googled Type A personality and it looks like they wrote the spec just for you 😂

ive never seen a good review of tronxy. Plus elegoo bigger name, more support, etc. maybe in the future!

It's basic thermodynamics.

LOL. I shaved my head bald for like, 10 years. Perfect haircut IMO
Was thinking of subscribing till you used the R word...naw, don't need that...enjoy the printer.
Ok! Warmest reGards!
