The only time I didn't have to pick up luggage in the port was when we used onboard airline check in. You get airline luggage tags instead of character tags and you will not see your bags again until you pick them up at your home airport.
I don't believe they have the DCL transportation option at the San Diego port. I've never seen it. We've traveled on DCL from San Diego port 4 times so far. On our 1st Disney cruise, we left out of San Pedro (long time ago) and I didn't see it there either 🤷♀️ Thanks for video, super helpful!
We are going to be using Disney Transportation before our cruise and after, we will be at the Polynesian two days before and 5 days at Bay Lake Tower after the cruise, and do you know if we have to have our bags outside the door for them to take back to WDW?
How did bags work for getting off the cruise? Did they take them right to the bus transportation from your room or did you have to get them once you got off the ship?
@@evanfitch9539 we paid a porter in the terminal to take our bags to the bus for us and the bus driver loaded them and when we arrived at Bay Lake Tower they unloaded our luggage and held all our bags until the room was ready.

They don’t since it is a bus, like mears.
