Thought Leader: Fluids: From Theory to Bedside Practice in Hemodynamic Management of Critically Ill

Maurizio Cecconi, MD, FRCA, FFICM MD(Res), presented the Max Harry Weil Honorary Lecture on Monday, January 22, at SCCM's 2024 Critical Care Congress. Dr. Cecconi discussed the journey of hemodynamic management of critically ill patients, how technology and clinical judgement have been shaped over the years, and how machine learning and artificial intelligence will impact critical care and fluid management in the future.
Dr. Cecconi is head of the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care and a professor of anaesthesia and intensive care at Humanitas University in Milan, Italy.
