2 MINUTES HOW TO REMOVE WINDOW Trim | Honda Civic Type R 2018

For those wondering what it's like on a Honda Fit. There is one screw in the location described at the start of the video. The vertical black trim piece pulls back at the bottom and then the whole piece slides up to pop off. Then the lower trim piece itself just pulls right up off the door with no clips, you have to pull it backwards to get it out from under the mirror. Super easy and this video helped, thanks.

Thanks for this video. I just purchased a 2021 kia sorento for the family and the dealership noticed this piece was bad. Waiting for it to arrive so they can fix it but in the mean time is it ok to wash the vehicle or will the water damage anything without the trim?

There's a tool that unclips it the back, and you just pull the moulding up.

Chris, just wondering how hard it would be to replace the chrome trim around the windows on a civic vs chrome delete? I have a civic hatchback, and was thinking of ordering this trim in black from Honda to replace the chrome. The type r and sport models are already black so I assume these can be ordered? I could be wrong though.thanks

I will supplement if you will, my information can be of use to anyone.
On some cars (for example European) in order to remove the window trim - you need to move it by 1 or 2 inches. The door must be open.
On the front doors you need to shift towards the rear doors. On the back doors - shift towards the rear quarter of the panel.

I’m sure you probably did it already: but inside the door there’s triangular cover. You pop that off. Then you’ll find 3 screws there, un screw them and the mirror would come off. Just be careful with the cables attached to the mirror.
