Many thanks, John. A weird song. Anyone know of any other song played by traditional jazz bands that consists of 19 - yes 19 - bars (measures) when played by the band, but 18 bars (with the third bar consisting of SIX beats) when sung by the vocalist? I can't think of one. This was composed by Memphis Minnie's husband Ernest Lawlars, whose name sometimes appears spelled differently, such as 'Lawler'.
There should be a thunderous applause for "Erika and Wonderful, Tuba Skinny!" Absolutely the most talented New Orleans sound of today!
REALLY liking trombone guys chops
Great Sound.
Thanks John Dodds for uploading these performances. I love the band's sound! The trumpet player's subtle stage presence is the highlight of this one.
She is the band leader.
Thanks très belle serie !
Голос Erika помолодел после разлуки!

Authentic Dixieland music. Memphis Minnie replaced by Erika perfectly. Keep going.
Packing for our trip to Asheville, NC to see Tuba Skinny in person at the Grey Eagle Music Hall. Been a TS fan for about six months and love them.
Something tells me the Lonesome Doves will do a gig or two, with Shaye sitting in. Wish I could be there.
Hey guys stay safe hurricane Ida is gonna shit on the parade, like to see TS before I fall off my time line.😀😀
