- How to calculate the correlation from the p value.
In this video I show you how to calculate the r critical value to find out how big the correlation needs to be to be significant at p < 0.05 and p < 0.01. Then how to add conditional formatting to change the number formatting to add asterisks after the significant correlations in the correlation table.
r critical value =T.INV(1-alpha/2,n-2)/SQRT(T.INV(1-alpha/2,n-2)^2+n-2)

Excellent video. I am doing everything same as suggested in video but i am not getting asterisks mark in the table. Any suggestions that i must focus on to free the error.

Brilliant and well explained, solved my headache. Thank you so much Karina. One thing more i am still confused about how to calculate n ? Please elaborate with an example
n is the number of measurements your correlations are based on. So in my case I collected 23 air samples and measured the concentrations of those compounds in the air samples. Then I calculated the correlations between compounds.
Nicely explained.....
And
Which correlation you used??
Excellent description
Your video is very nice thank you very much
Thank you so much, excellent job.
Nice information 👌 👍 very useful 👍

I got an error when I typed formula "You've entered to few arguments for this function"
Still confusion on samples number
how did you get n = 23 ?
n is the number of measurements these correlations are based on and I know I measured 23 samples for these compounds. You need to change n to the number of data points you have.
number of genotypes
@@karinaadcock 23 samples of individual compounds or as a whole ?
@@karinaadcock by the number of samples do you mean total count for all the variables?
How can i copy that table without loosing asterisk into the Microsoft word
Your awesome :)
number of observations in your study is 23, i.e 8*3-1=23. is't correct
What is n ??
why n is 23?
