Players are excellent _electric_ archtop guitarists. Neither seems to hold the plectrum, however, in a manner conducive to getting the best sound from the wonderful New Yorker. There is a technique for producing a good tone with an acoustic archtop. It is markedly different from the way one picks an electric guitar.
It seems like they varied. Ive had 2 of those control boxes and they were different. One had been modified so that doesnt count for any validity. The other was from an older Dearmond 1000 and it has big wax caps in it. Darker, milkier sound than the later 1100 box.

Depuis, le propriétaire a remonté le réglage en hauteur "standard" pour de l'acoustique (2mm et 2,5mm). Le son électrique est un peu différent puisque les vis de micros sont un peu plus éloignées.
