Really enjoyed your nature walk footage. LOVE your new arrangement of your reading and music room!! So inviting and cozy!
Thanks! I love how the room turned out too.
When you took your glasses off to read, I was like "solidarity sister!"
I am forever taking my glasses off to read!
Haha. I do have progressives, but sometimes I still need to take them off to see. Oh boy!
The plant stand looks so relaxing!
I am very happy with it! Thanks.
Omg that plant stand is phenomenal. So elegant 🌿🌻
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am so proud that you loved it and got to be introduced to so many new booktubers. I agree. I adore seeing the community come together
Thanks so much! And girl. Your video was amazing. I know you put in hours upon hours to make something so fun for us. Thanks a bunch!
Your den looks so good! You did an awesome job putting everything together. Makes me think I need a plant stand for my plants 😆🪴
Thanks. I love how it turned out.
I love the park, it was beautiful… I am reading, the frozen river, at present. Happy reading 😊
I hope you're enjoying the Frozen River!
Good job on the Christmas stuff getting up in the attic. I have the same thing and such a pain going up and down with those tubs!
Whew. I am so glad I finally got that task taken care of!
Clicked on this video so fast. 🤣 I LOVE your vlogs!
Aww thanks so much, Hannah.
Love this video and you!! The room looks AMAZING and so does your hair🔥
Aww thank you!
I love your plant stand! And the den turned out great. The last ottoman you showed would be beautiful with the chair. 💛The park is beautiful, even in winter. You had such a productive weekend! You got more done in two days than I get done in a month lol. The noodle dish looks yummy.
Thanks so much. I was glad to get outside in the woods for a walk.
Love how your den turned out! The white shelves look great next to the vibrant yellow chair! Also, I've tried the shirataki noodles, but I think that I prefer the miracle noodles - slightly less funky flavor.
I found a website that told me how to prepare them. Part of it was boiling them after rinsing and that's supposed to help with the smell. Mine didn't smell though so I'm not sure it did anything. I do find them a bit rubbery as leftovers, but originally they were really good.
@@BooksAndJams I haven't tried them in years so they may have improved the recipe because the ones I tried, even after doing all the prep, were pretty funky tasting. Glad it sounds like they are better now.... Also, don't freeze them as leftovers. Even if you reheat them, they stay crunchy!
Your new reading corner looks so nice.
Thanks so much. I love how it turned out.
Absolutey love how you redid that room and the plant stand 😍 stunning! 💜 Absolutely love Katie and the favorites video she puts together is so cool the work she puts in is truly astonishing I love all of the end of year content too ☺️💜
Thanks, Shaina. I love how it turned out too. I'm so glad I found Katie's channel and that video. I think it just showed up as a recommended watch. It was incredible!
Awesome plant stand and great job setting it up! I'd probably put books on it since i somehow kill my plants...even succulents which are supposed to be unkillable😂
I am not the greatest with plants, but most of these are pretty hardy and easy to take care of. I don't really know what I'm doing with them, but love having plants in my house.
LOVE the new plant stand, really cute! ❤️
Thanks. I love how it looks now too!
Wow, you had a productive weekend! I love the look in the den and that plant stand is fab!
I did! It felt good to get so much done. And now I have another cozy space to sit and read!
Den looks awesome..I love that yellow chair, as yellow is my fav color….good choice on moving the book shelves, looks much better and the room has a better flow!
Thanks so much, Nancy. I love my yellow chair too. Makes me happy to have it in a cozy corner now.
I like the color of your nails.
“Mitzi reads and writes” wears black nail polish too. I never thought black nail polish was nice but it actually looks good!
Thanks. I have seen Mitzi's nails. They look great.
Yes, check your tires! One going low. My cat would love that plant stand! If I got up earlier I would get more read! Enjoyed listening to you.
I'm all good now! Thanks for watching.
The Lion, The Witch and the wardrobe wasachildhood favourite of mine too.
I have such fond memories. It may be my most reread book. That or Anne of GG.
I love the plant stand! 😍
Thanks. I really like it too.
Your den looks so nice and cozy! You got so much done! :)
I love how it turned out. I feel like I'll actually sit in there again instead of it just being a catch all area.
Great reading vlog. In your reworked space, you might consider cornering the dark wooden cabinet by the keyboard to mirror the cornered chair. It would provide visual balance instead of everything up against the wall.
I like that idea, but I also like putting my guitar in that little extra space between the cabinet and the wall.
Wooo! You got so much done! Amazing! And the room looks lovely!
Thanks, Luisina. (hope I spelled your name correctly).
@@BooksAndJams (Yes, that's exactly it! ☺)
I think i recommended Florence Adler swims forever to you!! It's really good. Hope you enjoy. I read 6 books in January and I've read NONE so far in Feb. Been a busy girl. But I'm off today and plan to read some. ❤
I am excited to read another Beanland book.
I love your yellow chair. That room looks amazing!
Thanks I love that chair too. It was a gift from one of the families I used to nanny for.
I have an ottoman like that in my reading nook- I love the yellow chair
Where did you get your ottoman. I'm debating between buying one and maybe trying to make one.
@ I got mine from a “Buy Nothing” group on Facebook
I do apples and almond butter quite a bit - stirrring just a little cinnamon into the almond butter is extra yummy. Your den looks great!
Oooo I love the idea of adding cinnamon. Definitely doing that next time. Thanks!
Your room is Gorgeous Doesn't even look like the same room well done!!
THanks! I am so glad it's not a catch-all space anymore.
Your room redo looks so good!
Thanks, Jess. I love how it turned out.
I just saw that plant stand on Temu yesterday. I was thinking of using it it to stack books on each shelf.
I am never quite sure how stuff from Temu will work, but this stand turned out great. It would be fun as a bookshelf too.
I am soooo ready for MGM. You did a fabulous job tidying up the Christmas stuff. I love your furniture arrangement. We used to have an attic ladder like yours. I was in junior high and mom and I would take turns on the ladder. Back then (1968) there was no insulation in the rafters. I see things like this and realize there is so much physical stuff I cannot do anymore. Keep up your exercises. Keep your body strong so that you don’t hobble around like I do!
It has been 14 months since my friend was nearly killed in that car wreck. Yesterday was the first time she was able to go to church and be able to tolerate sitting in a pew for the entire service. She worked so hard to get back to a normal-ish routine. As long as my irl friends are okay, I am okay.
I’m reading The Godparent Trap. It is much better than I imagined it would be. It is an enemies to friends book so far. Mostly about two single people surviving the loss of their best friends and them being named as the guardians of the couple’s orphaned children. So far, no tears, but my eyes did fill up a couple of times.
I miss the Little Dude and your walks with him. It was so nice to see the park again. Have a lovely week. Stay strong.❤
Amazing news about your friend being able to sit through church service. Praise the Lord! I love how faithfully you love your friends, Katie. They are lucky to have you in their lives.
I spy with my little eye…..a snowman on the bookshelf that didn’t make it to the attic😅
I know...but it's still winter! There are always a few things that linger and I'm ok with that. I'll just throw a box into a closet eventually. Not going back up in that attic til fall. haha.
Talk about a productive weekend! GO YOU 👏👏👏
Thanks so much. It was! I love it.
Your den turned out wonderful 😊
Thanks, Kami. I love it now too! It has been a catch-all for way too long!
I'm calling this Motivation Monday because WOW! you accomplished so much! Now I need to set my timer and declutter! 😂And I'm going to buy some of those noodles, so glad you tried them on here. We recently discovered that gluten triggered my son's psoriasis so he hasn't had pasta in a long time.
Haha. Yeah it was a very productive weekend. This weekend I have a feeling I'm going to be a bum and I'm ok with that. I can feel a bit of a cold coming on so rest is key this weekend. I will say the noodles were great that first day, but were a bit rubbery when reheated as leftovers for lunch later in the week.
@@BooksAndJams thanks! good to know! hope you feel better soon!
Krista you mentioned the book The Reading Promise and I actually have a copy of it. I haven’t gotten around to reading it yet.
It's so lovely so far. I hope you like it when you get to it.
I watched to the end you did a good job..
Well done...Take care.
Thanks so much, Therese. Hope you're having a great week.
The den is awesome
Thanks. It turned out so good. Makes me really happy!
You should frame the picture that you held up showing the puzzle you are going to do
and put in your room with the blank walls. How many rooms do you have in your house?
it looks like a lot of rooms.
That's a great idea. it's so pretty! I have 3 bedrooms and this den, living room, kitchen and bath. They're all kind of tiny rooms, but I love it!
Great vlog! Thanks 😊
Thanks for watching.
Oo, I've been wanting to try shirataki noodles! I learned about them recently, they’re made from yams. Did you buy them locally or online? I don't know where to look for them (locally).
I read the 2025 Newbery winner yesterday. I think you'll like it. After I thought about it a while, I wondered if the author started with a list of issues she wanted to address. Fortunately it wasn't obvious. I believe you didn't really care for one of her other books so maybe it'll just be "eh" for you. I'm anxious to hear what you think.
Thanks for the video. I love your "redecorated" den, especially the plant stand. I wish I had room for one.
I found the noodles from Thrive Market. I would think maybe a Whole Foods would have them or some place like that. Not sure about Trader Joes. I have this year's Newbery coming my way, but have low expectations because I really didn't care for Hello, Universe by her. We'll see.
I was looking at this plant stand online last week. I'm happy to see someone else found it. I haven't watched your whole video yet. But I'm curious to know if the lights provide enough light to read by.
I would not say the lights are enough to read by. They're pretty gentle.
@@BooksAndJams Yeah, I kept watching the video and that was the conclusion I came to. Thanks!
I really enjoyed The Reading Promise.
It's so heartwarming!
❤
The stand is absolutely beautiful very art noveu
Thanks. I really like it.
❤🎉
Well huzzah~! I received notification. LOL 🤷♀Just today I learned that Zora Hurston had another book. It may have been found by accident and posthumously published. I haven't researched that, I just heard it in a live stream. Oh wait, you know Nicole from Noteworthy Fiction. Okay, I just verified, it was published 65 years after Hurston's death; The Life of Herod: a novel.
What kind of almond butter do you eat? I like Maranatha, but it's so stinkin' expensive. Will you be planting a garden this year? I know you did one year and then life took a turn.
ahh, I like the titmouse birds. so cute.
The room rearrange looks good! YES! That looks great. I see your Swindoll books on the bottom shelf. I have one more book to read to finish the series.
Yay! haha. Glad you got the notification this time. I haven't read anything by Hurston, but am enjoying They Eyes so far. I don't have a specific brand of almond butter that I prefer. I don't eat it all that often. I probably won't go for the garden this year. It has been a fail every year but one. I will stick to inside plants.
Den look good!
Thanks so much!
I’m impressed!!! You had a very productive weekend. I wish I could say the same. I did finish An Unwanted Inheritance by Imogen Clark. I gave it 4.5 stars. Any book that keeps me interested gets at least three stars. I liked the character development in this one. BTW I love your plant stand and the room it’s in. Did you get the stand from Amazon?
Thanks. It was a very productive weekend. I have a feeling I'm going to be a bum this weekend and I'm ok with that! haha. I got the plant stand from Temu.
I graduated high school in your birth year!
Love it! Glad you're here.
👋📚❤️
Thank you for not discussing politics!
I want this to be a safe space for all no matter your political beliefs.
I was eighteen in 76
Haha. Love it.
I wrote you a very long comment but your whole video disappeared for some reason😑😑. Will try to remember as best I can. The Racing Promise is SO GOOD! I read it and had to buy my own copy. Loved Their Eyes Were Watching God, a fave. The Reading List is another must read, had to buy my own copy of that also. Please do a review for Florence Adler Swims Forever; have it but not read yet. You had an INCREDIBLY industrious week! SO much cleaning, etc!! Highly recommend Days At The Morasaki Bookshop. My fave bk. of 2024. Love your new plant stand😊 Forget what else I wrote...😑
I do have that bookshop book on my wishlist so I don't forget about it. I have heard good things. I am glad last weekend was productive because I've been not feeling great this weekend and have been a total bum. Haha. It's all about balance!
Hi Krista Decision Decisions. Lots to do no energy to do it.ugh.
Haha I hear you. Just take one step at a time.
Hi Krista 7yrs..I just keep thinking what if u have to move. That what i keep thinking for me O.m.G . What a job that would be. Yikes..Take care..
Yes, I do have a lot of stuff. I used to move every 6 years, but have been here in VA for about 8 now. Crazy!
