It’s really hit or miss, a ton of the mods are for older beamng versions and are broken now, but then some work flawlessly

The Audi A7 i have it too but from modland works just fine for me, however the model that he choose in the video can't also be driven from modland that's just a mod error
its cause when others reupload it, some corruptions can happen to the files

2:25 this one is broken because of the ESC, you disable it and you drive. 2 of my mods were broken just like that.
Some of those mods that can't move are probably just missing gearbox or the engine.
2:50 funniest thing about that S14 is they based it on the Grand Marshal (and scaled the model up to match its size), instead they could have based on the 200BX, which in terms of size and suspension layout is basically identical to an S chassis. Just goes to show how little these guys know about making mods lmao
but thinking in older versions, there was no 200bx. the only car that is fitting to that model is grand marshal.
There's currently a Countach mod on Modland and holy shit, the amount of detail put into that car is astounding.

Some mods miss the gearbox or tyres so always check the modifiying section to search for the gearbox and tyres
4:04 You can add wheels in the vehicle config - tires . If the car dont have a hood, doors or another details you can do the same thing.

a lot of car mods for me in 0.22 will always ended up being some or all parts being chrome while 0.23 just fixed everything but at the same time my potato PC can't handle it pretty well :)
its funny, because i have seen most of these mods in high quality on the beamng site, and discord and they work great.. seems like all of these are just stolen. huge slap in the face to the good beamng modders.
Off-site Russian mods are either extremely well made, hancrafted piece of diamonds, or straight up garbage, no in between.
It works until it doesn't, then you wish it did.
I think game updates mess up some of those mods because they actually used to be really good mods like the toyota mark 2
beam mods are very hit or miss depending on what game version you're on plus your hardware. I've actually used the a4 mod that was shown in the beginning in a multiplayer server and thought it was pretty high quality, it didn't have any missing texture or anything wrong with it and had pretty good crash physics. Sometimes I'll load up a perfectly normal working car and something like the wheels not having textures or the transmission just not existing will happen with these modded cars. Some modders either really know what they're doing or really don't which really makes me appreciate the lengths that the beam devs go through to ensure we always get high quality and consistently updated cars.
The A4 is working if you download it on Modland. :D
That RS200 has always been one of my fav mods
Here’s a tip, in stead of using radial menu, use ctrl+e that will let you select your car faster!

3:53 just go to vehicle config and go to transmissions just pick out the shifts you want simple as that
1:18 Sometimes the engine is not selected, you need to get into the vehicle configuration and select it then you can drive

In mechanical configs car spawns without transmission. I tried like making some of original Getrag transmissions and didnt rename it in config files

I have that issue with cars or parts of cars having that texture. Or clicking to spawn a car and then being thrown across the map. For every 1 working mod I get 5 broken ones. Not sure if it's because I'd a beam update or what but there are some cool mods that I can't get to work

There are a few decent ones here and there, i downloaded 6 supercars, and one was actually good, it was a Lamborghini countach, then there was this AWFUL scintilla meshlap, it was a ferrari, it was the newest on the world of mods page so it wasn't outdated, it just sucked, another lambo was good until i figured out that the engine was freaking hollow, (i saw that when i flipped it and ripped a panel that was covering it off) there was a pagani which was just outdated, a bugatti veyron which had a somewhat custom jbeam, then the lambo that had a jbeam i couldn't recognize, but definitely didn't belong to that one, the mirrors were actually like 2 centimeters back from the mesh, and that's about it.
I assume there's something wrong on your side because I have downloaded a lot of mods and they all work just fine

I would say the mods from world of mods work about 10 to 20 % of the time the rest of the time they are terrible and broken

you know you can go into vehicle config and change the tires and gearbox and transmission but still some of these mods are funny
the only good thing about world of mods and other russian sites that have stolen/meshlap is that they have some mods that are no longer in the offical beamng website

btw when you spawn in a car and the car just floats away at a rapid speed, that means the car basically doesn't exist in the mod files

Could someone help me please when i Dowland mod and i put them in the game i see the mod so i click on it i click spawn and it doesn't spawn i tried and every mod i have doesn't load like its loading and it never does it just respawns ke and no car is there

the ford rs200 is a reupload from 2fast racing, the r35 skilyine is a reupload from the beamng forums, the bmw m3 g81 is a reupload from imthelaws forum mod... to sum it up, modland is a reuploaded that shoves ads down your throat
Because of alot of bad mods on the world of mods I use ModLand a lot of times. It never put a virus on my PC and the only thing I encountered is that one mod was made for FS17 and not BeamNG in like 2022 so other than that I trust ModLand and I only use world of mods sometimes.
Mod is good (audi a4) but downald them on modland and its not mod problem with no texture you have much toutorial how to delete this
The older BMW probably drove, I think you were in realistic gearbox mode.
one of the main reasons of broken mods are beamng updates, almost every beamng update breaks something like the esc on the rs7, which makes it undrivable, or the materials on the first audi. i have my own experience with this when a beamng update broke one of my mods glass and gauges

It's hit or miss, I have a lot of good mods from WOM, but a lot of them are just bad :D
What pisses me off is that the only people who bring real life cars to this game where it's highly detailed are bootleg modders who meshslap by ripping the models from a forza game. There's only ever been a few rare cases where real life cars are brought to this game that are well made, have great detail, and receive updates, like the Ford Crown Victoria and the Lamborghini Gallardo..
Bruh all "World of mods" mods are just reuploads from the forums/repo or modland. And all the shown cars are working fine for me (maybe bc i downloaded them from modland, forums etc)

i remember that i downloaded monster truck mod from world of mods, and it was empty file, so my previous car became white and flyed up left, then it crashed my game like 2:39

i tried the link from the world of mods 7 series bmw and let the file get checked by virustotal and it detected an executable (.exe) which there should never be an executable in a beamng mod i looked at which was the exe and deleted it and the mod doesnt show up now so proceed with the 7 series with caution

I get like all my mods from world of mods you just have to check the version the mod is supported by or what version it was tested on as long as it's somewhat up to date then it works never had a problem and check the amount of downloads as well if it has low downloads don't get it

ngl man the shittier the mod the funnier it is, i recently got a fake huracan mod and it was just a subaru with a bunch of textures missing and a brick ontop of it goofiest looking car mod ive ever installed and i stillgoof around with it till this day
