  • I first walked this, my favourite of the National Trails at the age of 14 with my dad. Now join me 50 years later as I walk it again solo, a lot has changed during that time. the equipment has got lighter but more expensive, I now wear shoes not boots and fish, chips, peas and a pot of tea cost me £26. Wow times have changed.
Part two takes me from Hinderwell campsite to Scalby campsite just outside Scarborough.

    Hello Stu,
I agree that it made sense to try the alternative route (cinder track), although it did look very busy. I'll be turning in next week to watch you get to the coast.
    Take care.

Snappy editing, particularly in the first half made the pace (for me) very enjoyable, little pop on captions and all. How on earth you carry all that stuff plus tech gear, cables, chargers and keep it all organised is a source of wonderment to me. Ever thought of getting a small donkey ? (That would send your channel up the charts). Loved the video.

Thank you David, given the fabulous nature of your output I’m really happy with your comments.
The camera equipment I carry isn’t conventional photographic gear I suppose. I used a GoPro and a tiny Insta 360 Go2 so they (thankfully) hardly weighed anything really.
