Whitby is a wonderful place with loads of attractions but don't expect to find a Tourist information centre there as it has been closed since December. Scarborough council controls Whitby unfortunately and had withdrawn the finances to keep it open. Stark raving bonkers. This jewel of a town that relies on tourism has no TIC.
