Sarukani were the beatbox crew champions at the last Grand Beatbox Battle 2023. They only showed a tiny bit of their skills here, excited to see what they do later.
I've been watching these guys for a while. They have so much more to show! Cannot wait until next round (≧▽≦)
That's good to know! I wasn't 100% sold on this audition (it was so short that they didnt get to showcase much), but now imma look them up to watch some of thier longer performances ^^

It's not really about showing all of their skills though. It's about being entertaining to an audience of non-beatboxers. A lot of the technical beatboxing would fly over everyones heads and they wouldn't be as impressed as they were here. It also doesn't really help that beatboxing is still relatively unknown to mainstream media.
what everyone there doesn't realise is that these are some of the best beatboxers on the planet, and arguably one of the best crews in the world lmao. Big up Sarukani, they're gonna lose their minds when they hear SO-SO and Kohey go god mode

They picked something that included things that anyone can recognize and sing/dance along to. It was really smart actually and a great way to just kind of let people get a peek at what they can do without overwhelming them. Gotta save the good stuff for later and ease them into it. Most people aren't used to listening to that style of complex beatbox so it's best to introduce people to it with something more simple, melodical, and recognizable. It builds hype and anticipation. Honestly one of the best auditions I've ever seen

These guys are awesome and have achieved so much. The Beatbox Collective (UK) are World Beatbox Champions. They get asked to perform for Britain's Got Talent every year, they're amazingly skilled, its worth checking them out too.
The Beatbox Collective get asked every year for this and AGT and timing hasnt worked due to other projects. We should really represent as original World Crew Champions, organisers of UK Beatbox Championships and have now taught over 1million people how to beatbox in UK amongst the rest of the first time accolades for a beatbox group
