I love how you don’t ignore your dog even though you are working on the mower and making a video. That is beautiful I love people who care for their animals and yes thank you for the information on the lawnmower as well. Much respect!! Keep up the good work!
Check the fuel cap vent first, and then proceed down the fuel supply / carburetor checklist. BTW: I love the way the dog is trying to train it's owner. Good effort!
Been watching channels like this on youtube and everybody its so quick to take the carb off I know its adds more content ..I work a lot on lawn mowers and rarely do I have completely remove the carb .
I was watching you intently, cos you're a good teacher. but you really had me, when each time your dog brought back the Tugger, and each time you 'played' along and threw it for her. I'm a sucker for people showing kindness, especially so to animals. Thanks for the lesson - and you've got you a new sub.
your viewers cannot see many of the items you apparently want them to see. While I have no you tube channel nor do I want one, I know good video when I see it. Maybe make sure we can see what you want us to see Also maybe a plywood board with white cloth for the carb, etc,. parts for us to see. I am learning how to fix my lawn mower using youtube videos and yours helps me learn. You have experience, a dog!, and motivation to put your skills on line. That's great! I tend to return to certain channels and yours is one.
Thanks for the help Bro, I order the part from Amazon and replaced the carnitas and it started and ran strong. Also did everything except the wheel replacement. Got some other parts but did not use them.
Thanks for this practical video. May be this is the problem with mine; however I put a new carburetor on it a few weeks ago. But going to give it a try. Very insightful. Explanations were clear. Thanks again.
My mower ran and then kept stopping for no reason.Got a tube of Mechanic in a Bottle from Home Depot and added the correct amount to the gas tank.Fired it up ,held the throttle open with a bungee cord and let it run for 20 mins.Easy peezy.Runs like a brand new machine.
Thanks for the video. Mynfriend recently gave me a lawn mower and so I've never actually have had to maintenance on a lawn mower so I am turning to you tube for help. (So grateful for TH-cam and you guys who make these videos) Unfortunately the lawn mower would turn off as soon as I started it after filling it with gas, so I was assuming it might need an oil change and perhaps even a tune up too but now worried it might need more maintenance. Ughhhh
I have a mower like this. I watched a few TH-cam videos and just bought a new $11 carburetor on Amazon , installed it and the mower runs like new. 1 Pull of handle/cord and starts every time.
Hm, my float dos the same thing yours was showing with it engaging too soon. Carburetors are cheap enough on A,mazon, I think I'll just spend the $14 and replace the whole thing rather than mess around digging out o-rings.
I agree with all the others. A great informative video, I need all the help I can get. Your doggo was cracking me up. He’d drop the rope aways away from you and sit patiently…for awhile, then pick it up and bring it closer cuz, you know, like maybe my human just didn’t notice so I’d be doing him a favor to bring it closer, right? Good job human. If a dog trusts you, then who am I to say different, dogs are pure. They know.
I found bowl shifted just a fraction of a hair preventing flowter bowel from going down. Soulution loosten metal bowl , may dot have to take all the way apart, then hold or push bowl in curtian direction when tightening up. Problem solved
Hey Thank you- Oh man I have two mowers and my Craftsman like yours, that I hope the wheels (about $26 bucks for pair on Amazo)I just bought have teeth that are not that weak to strip out faster than the tread-your tread looked so good compared to mine. My teeth were fine-maybe lube up the bearings/shaft on the drive pinion or sprocket before Install. The Honda motor (190cc on my Husqvarna no throttle control) is doing the same thing sputtering and dying so thank you for showing-gives me more ambition when I know what I could run into problem wise.
Inhave this problem now and i been noticing sputtering and today it finally died on me before finishing the mow. And I can start it back up hut ti died right away.
I replaced the carburetor on my 7hp Briggs and Stratton platinum EZ walk and it starts and will run but it’s so weak but when I lift the front end up and put the handle on the ground it runs normal and strong? I have no idea what to do, Any suggestion?
My lawnmower has been great but it is now shooting out white smoke then shutting off. Watched you troubleshoot but I’m not mechanical so I will take to knowledgeable repair guy🤷🏻♀️ Your dog was entertaining as well😊
You can`t adjust the float like you said , but that float ends up like that over time, Heat the back of the float at the hinge point and bend it back don't over heat, in my day them floats were made from brass or copper ,never had that issue with them, and if they leaked at the seam you could solder them back, cheap shite today
I really enjoy your videos and learn alot, however I have one comment to make. Please add more close ups to your videos. I'm an old guy and need things closer so I can see. Ha Ha
Thanks for the tips...I'm pretty sure I need to clean my jet plug below the float-bowl after watching your video. It looks like you have a good dog. I like how patient she is further on into the video when you stay focused on the mower...it looked like she was trying to be polite about wanting to play while you were in the middle of something else...she brings the rope back, sets it down, backs off and waits a while...then decides to move it closer and waits again...
I have 2 one was cleaned and as a spare. My current one just started rapping and died. Wont start now. To save time I decided to put oil and fuel and new plug on the other went to start fuel started pouring out the carb I think overflow. I cleaned the carb and jet now not leaking but now stalls. Sheesh. So I assume carb still has an issue. And the other anyone have an experience before I dig in? Both 6.75 self propelled on with the small rear wheels the other with the large ones.
Possible wrong seat Number or el-cheapo seats made in China... should be a light press fit with the blunt end of a drill bit to seat them. And of course the smooth side of seat faces up when installing. Also this vid is one year old and you know all this by now and this is just for passers by who are unsure. Also looked like the needle was stuck in the carb after the float was taken off... just an observation.
Your dog reminds me of my old roommates corgi that when i first moved in brought her ball to me so i could toss for her . A day later ended up not liking me because i used my Milwaukee leaf blower to blow away dust. For weeks I would grab the ball and throw it and she wouldn’t budge . Weeks Later on the line i started throwing it and she would go grab it and then go hide it from me . Months later after trying to earn her trust back she finally gave in and brought me the ball to throw and we were friends again . Funny how she would stare at the ball after bringing it close and closer and closer , looking at me for a second to see if i seen it. She was a smart corgi , she would hide the ball and stare at spots she hid them to make us grab it out from under the couch or whatever cuz she knew once we grabbed it from where she hid it , she know we had no choice but to throw it somewhere even if we just tossed it by our feet. She always wanted to play always . Whenever she heard someone say “ball” she ran to look for it. Of course humans after work get tired and arent always in the mood for playing . But she didnt care
Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower th-cam.com/users/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.
I love how you don’t ignore your dog even though you are working on the mower and making a video. That is beautiful I love people who care for their animals and yes thank you for the information on the lawnmower as well. Much respect!! Keep up the good work!
T hiqp
This is so dumb. Dogs & children should know when to not bother adults.
I gave this vid a thumbs up just cause this guy was so good to his dog
Yes, i'm going to talk about the dog too.
This was worth watching just to observe the sweet dog❤
Check the fuel cap vent first, and then proceed down the fuel supply / carburetor checklist.
BTW: I love the way the dog is trying to train it's owner. Good effort!
She is a smart one!
Had the same problem. Irritating.....replaced and repaired two other wear and tear problems....but didn't foresee the cap issue.
Thank you! I’m a girl trying to learn the ropes and your explanation/calm voice really helped! Also, LOVED that you were taking care of the dog!
Thank You. It worked--Saved me about $200 AT THE LAWN MOWER SHOP. Took me about 15 min because I'm slow.
I'm glad it worked for you.👍👍
Been watching channels like this on youtube and everybody its so quick to take the carb off I know its adds more content ..I work a lot on lawn mowers and rarely do I have completely remove the carb .
2 bolts, no big deal
I was watching you intently, cos you're a good teacher. but you really had me, when each time your dog brought back the Tugger, and each time you 'played' along and threw it for her. My feelings exactly
Agree with the other comments: The dog and his/her toy did it for me.
Also Kudos that you have good focus and lighting for the work. Thanks!

I came here to see how to troubleshoot my lawnmower but was more entertained by the dog but good video dog as a bonus
She is a lot of fun!
Doggy looks like a pretty awesome assistant. I enjoy your videos thanks for your channel and for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing your troubleshoot of the carburetor!! it was fun to watch the dog wanting to play 8-)
LOVE how the dog keeps moving his toy closer to you to make sure you see he has brought it back!!
Thanks for the help Bro, I order the part from Amazon and replaced the carnitas and it started and ran strong. Also did everything except the wheel replacement. Got some other parts but did not use them.
Love that dog yes they are like kids and want to play .
Immediately love the dog you came right up the beginning of the video that was awesome give him a treat for me
Thanks for this practical video. May be this is the problem with mine; however I put a new carburetor on it a few weeks ago. But going to give it a try. Very insightful. Explanations were clear. Thanks again.

Your dog was the star of the show! 😃
...I have a pitbull that does the same thing when I'm working outside. Thx for the instruction. A+
Watched for the mower fix, stayed for the dog
She's a lot of fun!
Dog is awesome. He's so patient while making his point known.
Thanks for the video.

check the carburetor...good luck and let me know how it goes!
That’s a fuel problem
Put on a new carb 😊
I could watch your dog for hours, love him :)
Thanks for posting -- I got the same problem, and we'll see..☺
That dog is awesome.
Yes she is.👍👍
I have a mower like this. I watched a few TH-cam videos and just bought a new $11 carburetor on Amazon , installed it and the mower runs like new. 1 Pull of handle/cord and starts every time.
Play with that dog! 😆
Always!
Your dog is awesome ❤
Yes she is😊😊
I have the a Craftsman looks close to that one and it keeps shutting of basically as soon as I get it on would that be the same thing
Screw the lawnmower ! That wonderful dog wants to play.
She loves to play...all day long!
Loving how the doggie puts the toy closer to you.
Like saying HEY BUDDY
Kudo to the doggie. He didn't have time to fool with a lawnmower. 😁
Love the dog demanding attention.
Rule of thumb: always check fuel condition first
I wish you would show when u cleaned the carb
Needle and seat kit is what you want. Make sure you have the right seat. They are red green or white.
😍LOVE THAT DOG!!!😍
& ur video was helpful too, THANKS!!
I didn't see where you removed the small gasket from. Was below the needle valve?
Great video! I hope I have helper like yours :) Nice doggo
Was that a plastic carb cause it looked like a metal carb from the cameras point of view cause the mower I got is a Briggs and Stratton Murray
Hm, my float dos the same thing yours was showing with it engaging too soon. Carburetors are cheap enough on A,mazon, I think I'll just spend the $14 and replace the whole thing rather than mess around digging out o-rings.

A tab of the float where it hits the needle can be primed up with a screw driver for a few minutes to bend up enough but not too much as to break it.
Thanks for the info. Loved the cute dog too!
Thanks for watching!
I did all that, it starts and stop, i see oil coming out the hose where the filter goes, is that normal?
Got the same problem after a year of purchase garage kept well taken care of no problem starting then dies 30 seconds later! Fustratung!
What did you find as cause my craftsman now doing same thing prime it runs 5 second s dies
I found bowl shifted just a fraction of a hair preventing flowter bowel from going down. Soulution loosten metal bowl , may dot have to take all the way apart, then hold or push bowl in curtian direction when tightening up. Problem solved
A big hammer will fix it!!!
@@gregd.88 right! Came close

Cute critter....A man s best friend.
She is a sweety!
Like the dog , he put his toy on the mower like “ it’s dead dad “ bury it, let’s play .
She will play all day. You should see her with a frisbee!
Love your helper he loves to fetch
Great video, awesome how much attention you pay to your pup!
She is a lot of fun!
I wish I could see what your talking about other than that great video. I think it's my LMs issue
Thank You...Works like a Charm
Great video. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the video is funny I pay my attention to your dog that whatever you was doing it's funny that the way he want to help you
I replaced the carburetor on my 7hp Briggs and Stratton platinum EZ walk and it starts and will run but it’s so weak but when I lift the front end up and put the handle on the ground it runs normal and strong? I have no idea what to do, Any suggestion?
Governor spring attached correctly?
My lawnmower has been great but it is now shooting out white smoke then shutting off.
Watched you troubleshoot but I’m not mechanical so I will take to knowledgeable repair guy🤷🏻♀️
Your dog was entertaining as well😊
maybe too much oil
The dog is really eager to help fixing the lawn mower... LOL
She is always ready to go!

Love your puppy dog she are he very sweet
I’d check the flywheel key sheared just a bit
I really enjoy your videos and learn alot, however I have one comment to make. Please add more close ups to your videos. I'm an old guy and need things closer so I can see. Ha Ha
Good point... I'll start getting some close-ups
Things to check;
Fuel cap vent
Loose or stretched governor spring
Water in carburetor
Stuck or stiff moving float in carburetor bowl
Loose or stretch
...your dog is killing me. Lol
Do you know the part number for the drive wheel engagement cable? I cannot find it. I have the same mower, and the cable is frozen/broken. Thanks
Just look for the model number of the mower. Should be able to search using the model number and find the correct cable.
How much was that carb?
The dog is cool 🐶
Thanks for the tips...I'm pretty sure I need to clean my jet plug below the float-bowl after watching your video.
It looks like you have a good dog. I like how patient she is further on into the video when you stay focused on the mower...it looked like she was trying to be polite about wanting to play while you were in the middle of something else...she brings the rope back, sets it down, backs off and waits a while...then decides to move it closer and waits again...
She is fun...and very smart!
so solution is replace carburetor??
It could be the fuel cap
I cant stop looking at that dogs expression. All he wants is you to play with him. Lol
She will play all day long!
The dog! 💜💜💜

Love you puppy dog
Think it’s time for a new rope
I love your dog
why my machine take out oil from the air cleaner? ?
I had a dog that loved to naw on toys, cleanest teeth I've seen.
Great video, do you have a link/site where you bought the carb/filter/sparkplug kit
I am watching the dog too!
Thanks buddy
No problem 👍
the dog makes the video more interesting
She's the star of the show!
Try soaking the O-ring in brake fluid.
Thank you for making this video kind sir! You helped me greatly!
Glad it helped!
What kind of dog do you have
I got the same problem 5 minutes it dies I cleaned carburetor bowl the spark plug is pretty rusted
Did it work well after you cleaned the bowl?

how much was the new carb
I think they are less than $20?
Make it do some weights maybe?
Get Honda Lawn Mower to avoid headache. I had three Craftsman for 15 years and I did not like any more.
Set valves
good job
Fix the mower later…….that dog wants to play!
Nice intro
It's has water and gas have it clean with fresh gas
