I'll just stay in Alaska thank you!
    No Income tax.
    No Sales tax
    No Estate tax
No tax on SS or Pensions
Oil royaltys pay into the Permanent Fund
which pays an annual Dividend just about offsets property tax.
    Gods Country!

I live in Alaska. I agree with @michaelmccotter4293. Frugality offsets expenses.

Where can you buy a house for 250k in hawaii? Unless you're sitting next to a volcano😂. With a condo, you're going to pay a H.O.A. fee , some are over thousand a month ! And a small house in Honolulu will cost you almost a million. Yes, real estate tax is the lowest in the country. And the weather is great, if you have the money. 😅

Lived in Hawaii for 36 years. Forget about taxes- it’s one of the most expensive places I have ever lived. A crappy house in a not so good area will cost you a fortune. Jobs suck there also. Unless you are military or in a service sector. Nice place to visit but just too expensive. Don’t even think of retiring there. If you have kids don’t put them into public schools. Warning.

@@bill648 So, why have you stayed 36 years? Just like the pain?

@@WilliamMurphy-uv9pm you get used to it over time. Sadly. When you don’t have much to compare it with. Thank goodness I saw the light and left. Beautiful place- ridiculous cost of living

I would fact check Idaho’s property tax rate as 5th lowest in the nation. Not so sure about that.

Where can you buy a $250,000 home in Honolulu, HI? Some statements in this video are ridiculous as they NEVER would apply.

It would have been included if it was top 15 but didn't make it to the top 10 due to some factors.
