Sick build! Don’t let the purists get to ya. You’re giving that sweet truck a new life. Keep up on the videos. I wish I would have recorded more of my 54 Oldsmobile Cummins swap before I sold it. Also, awesome patina! I personally would not paint it. Love the look of it.
@@Menacemotors yes I do I plan on posting a video on it this weekend I’ll try to get some pictures up of what it look like when I first started 30 some years ago.
How bad does the doghouse impact leg room? Building a ‘49, not sure on engine yet, have a couple to choose from. Was going to do 1st gen axles on the factory frame
Hey I have done it pretty low budget I bought the Powerwagon at the time for $500 and the donor truck for the swap was $2500.plus probably $3000 in misc parts
@@drewdavvv yeah depends how much you do your self and what you want it to be like whens it’s done! Parts definitely aren’t cheap these days! Got any pictures of it?
All I would do to the paint is wash it sand it with 3000 grit then clear it absolutely beautiful
You should do a video on how you swapped the frame. I'm about to swap mine and love to hear about the lessons you learned doing the swap.
Yeah I could definitely do something for ya
A walk around with some basic dos and don’ts kinda things would be super cool! Thanks either way for some good videos
@@jeffryhino8275 yeah I will definitely try and get something together I’m still gotta get it finished but definitely some thing I would change.

Not to bad might get a little much if you plan on taking it on long road trips
@@Menacemotors Thanks for the reply. Maybe I’ll make one out of cardboard and see if there’s enough room. Otherwise it’ll be 4bt powered.
Around how much money have you put into restoring it so far
