MH-67A8J microphone modification for FT450D radio

MH-67 This is a modification of the chinese vertex MH-67A8J microphone for it to work properly on the Yeasu FT450D radio.
I got the MH-67 as a backup to my stock MH-31 mic.
The price was $12 US on amz.
The webpage advertised it as compatible with the FT450, with the RJ45, 8-pin plug.
However, on connecting the MH-67 to the radio, all of the buttons on the radio stopped working, but the rotary knobs continued to work. Also, the FAST tuning light was activated when I plugged the MH-67 in.
Plugging back in my MH-31 returned everything to normal.
After some research, and comparison of the mics wiring, I decided to disconnect one wire on the MH-67 mic, ie. the black HANG wire.
This wire corresponds to the Fast Scan wire on the MH-31.
That seems to have solved the problem, and everything works now.
I also removed the useless weights from the MH-67.
Apparently, Vertex has three versions of the MH-67A8J. My mic was version 1. Unfortunately the MH-67A8J manual was removed from the website. I have a local copy.

Did the problem ever return? I have an FT450AT and bought a Chinese mic, worked fine for two weeks now all my buttons are locked only the power works and dials. Unsoldered the wire and still nothing. Original mike still nothing.
