- Hi everyone!
Let me just say that this is my first video so, if I missed out something , or if something about working process is unclear let me know. The video is made with Filmora video software, and taped with smartphone (Acer liquid jade z).
I was so lucky when I was looking on Craigslist and on the free section these people were giving away a beautiful 1950s etching press. Because it was so extremely heavy and they didn’t really know what it was. They decided to give it away. For the cost of a rental trailer and three nice strong men I took it home. It is a large format printer capable of doing poster size prints. I did try to make my own once but never did find all the parts so this was an incredible fine.

Looks like steel drainage pipe with wooden discs and Portland cement, is that right. Did you find that you got the shaft dead center that way? And did you do any machining to the roller(s) at all? Was the shaft strong enough? Looks like 15-18mm or would you recommend something larger? Thanks for uploading. I think you proved the concept! Very interesting roller design.
