I must say, the use of wood to reinforce the tube ends is absolutely brilliant! With tube being stronger than solid stock, and so much less expensive generally, using solid stock is just silly. Very inspiring work fellas!

You boys are so cute. Made this old granny laughed when you wowed yourself catching the glues!
Love how nice your projects look when finished. Remind me of my wood shop class in high school. I was the only girl in wood shop and auto shop in the seventies in seventh through 12th grade.

**SAFETY ADVICE:. Put a collar at the top of the frame for the jack piston/column to go into. This will stop the jack base from kicking out sideways and flying out at you. Maybe even drill a hole thru the collar and Jack column to insert a safety pin. Otherwise this is awesome! I'm going to use this for sure!!

Have you had any issues with the strength of those hooks? My main concern with this is the amount of pressure between the bottle jack and those trampoline springs is massive. If one of those hooks pops out… yikes! Anyway, just looking for some reassurance. Thanks boys!

Great work, keep it up! ;)
I'm thinking about building one of these
machines (with some friends). Since our products will be all day outside
in the sun, I want the sheets to be uv-resistant.
    I know that
uv-resistance is typically achieved by adding carbon black to the
plastic, so using only carbon black shredded plastic will make the
sheets uv resistant. But could you please tell me a way (the simpler the
better) to make COLORED sheets that are uv-resistant? Maybe by adding
uv-stabilizers during the melting process, what sould be tricky, since
mixing the uv-stabilizers with the plastic pellets is not that easy I
    guess? Are there better ways?
Thank you very much in advance :)
    Lukas

    • @BrothersMake
      @BrothersMake  4 ปีที่แล้ว
