Agree with you saying about picking your own hour's, uber for me is about flexibility, working your own hours, time off if and when needed, selecting or declining jobs. Used to work for a cab office, couldn't go back to set shifts and having to cover all jobs. So right way of this mate, stay positive!
Great content Mate. Essex area are quite during the week. I love working essex on friday and saturday evening/nights. During the week north London is busy.
Money can be poor some days however its the flexibility you can work as much or as little as possible. Im finishing at 13:30 today and just chill out in the garden while many people are stuck working!
I dig the flexibility, you can come and go as you please. However, do Uber still pay drivers enough to keep a car on the road and clear minimum wage of 11.44?
Ive taken screen shots of jobs 2 weeks ago before Holiday pay per trip and im sad enough to calculate the same trip(s) prior to the changes and they are on avg. 35p worse off - a simple example is my usual station pickup spot, £4.85 fare for 2mi at 0mi pickup is now masked as £4.35 + 35p HP.. on a weekly basis it isnt adding up and will be forcing drivers to take longer jobs like the 60+min £18-25 shafty jobs. Its just another implementation that they hope new drivers will be unaware of how it used to be and just accept it.
@@Uberdiaries i agree though, i love uber and doing the job as a whole - theres alot worse jobs out there i can say from experience! 30 years of age and was ready to retire last year before doing uber😅 i cant see how drivers will be able to afford having any car under 5 years old in the near future on uber, im already worried currently owning a 70 plate e niro.. seems selling it and buying an older car thats been through the depreciation process is the only way to profit long term.. sad really
I used to work for a local company that you paid £150 per week to be supplied work. The positive thing with uber is you choose the job and the passengers are no trouble.
I had a lovely customer last night a lawyer, asking me how much would I get from this trip,he paid £49.I got £27.81 plus 2.43 holiday pay,he was shocked but said i ask and show the price to all the uber drivers, Is it suppose to be 25% commission its turned out to me around 44% commission or am I wrong anyone know the actually commission?
@@grantdevaney5680 that’s terrible! They’ve come off the 25 percent now and it’s flex pricing which basically allows them to pay what they want to the driver
I believe Uber are massaging figures about passenger fares on their weekly pay statements coz the commission seems a lot lower than when individual jobs are worked out.
@@grantdevaney5680Uber is Modern day slavery yes you can make £20 an Hour But after expenses Car maintenance Fuel , insurance, tax your left over with shit money to much driving left with under minimum wage TFL is issuing pco Licenses every day too many drivers joining the uber platform its Getting worser 💀

If I did my calculations for the hours I work I would say I’m just above minimum wage after expenses
Can you do a vid on what car you drive, fuel or how long a charge lasts, would be interested to know. Thanks
I will try mate

Yeah I did a few calculations aswell and it came out as 25p difference per short job! It’s a pisstake! We’re just a number to them

Couldn’t agree more! The prices of financing cars atm is ridiculous!
Thats always been the case buying or leasing new cars is a mugs game , buy 2nd hand , use it , abuse it , junk it , then repeat.
Hi mate, I am just going through a PHV licence application. Which insurance company do you recommend and rough cost per month?
Hi mate I use acorn/haven and mines roughly 225 a month, I’ve heard all of the pretty good though
