Everyone in this track and everything that went into it is amazing, Daniel Heiman though....his pipes are truly otherworldly! it's not just his power, it's the tone, the timbre, the pitch and the way he can sustain those high notes. My Lord! He is incredible! Matt, you are the man for doing all of these incredible things and I hope to see so much more from you, and then write music forever when we are all in glory at the end of all mortal things!

And the Rest is Mystery speaks to the soul and anyone can tell that it comes from a very good place with all the love and care you put into the details of the song. Thank you for creating this, Matt. The song opens so beautifully, and takes us on a journey through some changes in tempo, and had me in tears with the harmonies and overall musicianship...the drums, the incredible guitar work from beginning to end, and all the right voices at the right places with all the right styles. It should be up with the best songs ever...because it is that good! I read the lyrics and it really gave the song that much more depth. I wondered what each singer thought of this project and song when you brought them on and ask them to be a part of it. They had to be "wowed!" once they learned what the song was and what the sound was going to be like when putting it all together. So intricate! They had to be pinching themselves at being able to be a part of it. And above all, I would say God was pleased with this song, sound, and effort that went into it.
Matt, you have created a true masterpiece. Exceptional writing, performances, mixing, and mastering. I definitely experienced massive chills with this piece. Congratulations!!!

This is so awesome! Thanks for this video Matt! I watched evwrything5from start to finish and it is so crazy to see how much work REALLY goes into such a song. So amny nuances and small little details than might be difficult to hear in the full song but would totally miss and not make the song what it is in the end when they would miss. Thanks for posting this up. I had no idea that there were that many tracks involved. Your mixes sound perfect and now I know why. I am not the only one who works on all the little details on tracks to get them sounding just right. My setup is very ragamuffin, but I have been able to get good results from equipment over 20 years old. It was nice to see a professional setup with someone with an ear like mine. If only I had a strong lead voice...

So it is not really an issue as the progression of this song takes us, at least from what I hear, with two individuals finding God and moving through their faith and the mystery of how it all happens by His Grand Design.
That was very cool. Great song and very informative on what goes into recording a song. All the voices of the singers sound so perfect together when harmonizing. Its been many moons since the last time I recorded in a studio. ProTools was barely a thing back then. On the guitars that were harmonizing; were there two tracks that harmonized or did you use something like an Eventide Harmonizer?
