Leviticus 19:28 specifically prohibits tattooing yourself "for the dead". It's not a blanket prohibition against getting any kind of tattoo for any reason ever. So, if Cavey believes Jesus has completely freed him from Leviticus 19:28 so that he doesn't believe it applies at all today, then would he be okay with Christians tattooing themselves out of fear of the dead? To worship the dead? This is just another example of Cavey's carelessness when it comes to handling Scripture. It seems to be a hallmark of his "ministry". Sad.

Eric Schneider 19:28 says don’t cut your bodies for the dead or get a tattoo. The “or get a tattoo” is pretty much a blanket statement prohibiting tattoos.
