Thank you! Fixed our dryer today. 💁🏻‍♀️ I did need an extra hand taking the belt off and putting it back on though.

Thank you for making the sound first so I could hear if I was having the same issue

That worked well! Even found a service guy around the corner with parts! Took me about two hours and cost $13! Thanks so much. Great video

Thanks for video. I sprayed a little lithium grease on the idler pulley and the squeak is gone. Another use for lithium grease. I use it like Frank’s Red Hot!

Awesome video. Was not my issue in the end, but the way you took the bottom front panel off and spun the drum allowed me to diagnose mine super easy. The bottom roller is completely shot!!! Good advice to do that to see/hear where the noise is coming from!!

this was very helpful. I lubed it once and the squeak came back within a couple months. So, I replaced the wheel. Easy peasy. You don't even have to remove that second silver shield if you are a little dexterous :)

Thank you..I sprayed a little WD 40 on the the pulley wheel bearings and fixed. I’m sure it’s a temporary remedy but wet laundry is no bueno

Great video! Ours was doing the same thing. I just need it to last another another 2 months so I sprayed the wheel with a silicone spray and squeak gone. 👍👍😁 your video pointed me in right direction. Thanks!!

I would have assumed that awful shrill sound was going to be the belt, but I ordered the part on Amazon, using your link. Hopefully, that is all that it is. Thank you!

@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance Still waiting for the part, but I vacuumed it out and lubed it. Super quiet and moving smooth. I am sure I will have to put the part on soon, but for now, I will wait until it starts screaming again. Thank you for the video.

Worked for me! (at least I think so.) The only thing I had to look on another video for was to see pulley path. I didn't need to take lint holder thing off to reach it. But then I took it off anyways to clean it. Thanks for the video.

Diving into the unknown always gets my adrenaline pumping. Watching your video helped a lot. I found that all I had to remove was the bottom cover. I could reach in with both hands and comfortably touch the idler pulley. I cut a piece of 1x2 41/4” long and placed it between the vent pipe and the idler bearing shaft/bracket, this removed the pressure on the belt. Then it was easy to remove and replace idle bearing. When I removed the1x2, I made sure the belt was in the right place. Put the cover back on. I was interrupted a couple of times while making my repairs, so I would guess it took less than 10min.

This looks ok if machines are stacked, my washer and dryer are side by side on pedestals in small laundry room with tub. Gonna try, don't know. Used to grease them all the time. Older models that top and front came off to access.

@@trueamerican7034 my machines were side by side, on pedestals. Piece of cake sitting on my ass reaching in and gittin er dun!
But I agree if the unit was sitting on the floor, it may require a contortionist!

I have the wgd9150w00 dryer. Ordered a replacement idler pulley from Amazon but it is larger diameter than the original. Also read squealing returned for some after 1 year. Where can I get Original whirlpool quality idler pulley for this model that is an exact match or a better quality one for cheap?

I have a duet dryer suddenly it started making a noise. When we pulled it out from the wall we found the pipe that goes outside was wobbly and that was making the noise. Is there something inside that was holding it still ? If so how do we fix it, for now we have just pushed some foam around the pipe
