Damn, having dropped a fair number of fuel tanks in my time to replace fuel pumps I KNOW you really didn't relish having to do this thing again and that's probably why you didn't say anything or the air would be blue. However, know this, it takes a BIG man to own his mistakes and put them out there for others to see. For those of us seeing this from the outside it's easy to say that its ok. Thing is that as observers we don't feel the financial hit something like this can have on the shop owner(not to mention maintaining customer confidence). Fortunately for Ray this comeback didn't take long to resolve, and nothing was broken or needed to be replaced. Just time lost. But regardless, it's not fun to have to work for free on account for a slip up. Speaking from experience, it's not a matter of if this will happen to a tech, but when. I have yet to meet a tech that has not slipped up at some point in his/her career. This is part of the human condition.

that sucks but like the rest of us no one gets it right all the time .but at least you owned up to it in my eyes that makes you a bigger man for it and next time you will be better so you don't have to do it twice . best of luck going forward

ASMR is a massive and growing trend. In fact, there's more search interest on TH-cam for ASMR than for "candy" or "chocolate."1 Odds are, however, you've never heard of it. In fact, the top-searched question about ASMR on Google is, "What is ASMR?".........Coined in 2010, ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is a relaxing, often sedative sensation that begins on the scalp and moves down the body. Also known as "brain massage," it's triggered by placid sights and sounds such as whispers, accents, and crackles.

I have to admit, with the silent treatment, it loses a little something. As a mechanic who has redone a fuel pump or two, I completely understand. Though I did catch the Easter egg "click" when you finished the lock ring. Also enjoyed the clippety clop across the front of the truck at the end. Well done Ray.👍👍

If it's easy to do straight from the factory then doing it in a workshop no different you're only human mate and most of us have been there done in some way, shape off form , like they say it takes a real man to own up to his mistakes and a greater man to show it on the net , kudos for doing so .

Did I do something wrong ? Or did the Wife Unit ball him out for something. I get quite when my wife unit gets on me. PLEASE RAY SAY SOMETHING, SO WE KNOW YOU’RE OK.

I did that once on my Jeep … for some reason cruise control doesn’t work when you forget to connect the servo cable to the throttle body. Who knew, right?
Luckily the backup cruise control (my foot) works fine… 🤫
