Dororo is the story of a young man attempting to regain parts of his lost body, stolen away from him upon his birth by demons, sold to these demons by his greedy father in exchange for the ability to rule over a prosperous land.

on episode 20 there is a parallel that can be made with the scene where hyakimaru breaks his proesthetic arm on the stone and him furious screaming for his body, he felt extremelly frustrated with the fact that his fake hands stopped him from being able to save dororo and that gave him a intense urge to get his body back hence thats why he suddenly started screaming for his body
Another brilliant detail: When Tahomaru has Hyakkimaru's eyes, they move independently from his own remaining eye.
as he regained his body there were a few important themes. the first thing he felt was pain, the first thing he heard was crying, the the first sounds out of his mouth were him screaming in agony, the first thing he smelled was rot, and the first thing he saw was his home burning down.

If you think that his birth and life until he attained the body parts weren't worse than each of the senses returning with a grim twist, then you'd need to consider it.
Just think what happens at night when you literally can't hear anything... there's a reason it's called "painful silence".
Junkai saying "I wasn't alive in your eyes until now" is referencing how empty he's felt. It's been a recurring line with his character that he was "forced to live" after his violent actions of the past. First he was making prosthetics for the living trying to make some small recompense though he knew he couldn't make up for all his violence, but that didn't seem to be working as first his apprentice renounced and left him, and then Hyakimaru grew up to be an emotionless killer. In fact, when Hyaki leaves to go on his journey Junkai gives up on making prosthetics for living people altogether--afraid he'll just keep making things worse despite his good intentions. So when Hyakimaru acknowledges Junkai outside the cave and call him "mama" that basically gave him validation that his hard work wasn't worth nothing--Junkai finally felt like he had a *reason* he had been "forced to live."
It's a bit abstract way to show it with the monsters, but still kind of sweet.
EDIT: Also 24:05 I feel personally attacked. Why would it only be boys? ...anime guys are hot. =P

Its actually very sad and ironic...
Hyakimaru's father wanted prosperity for his town...
But in the end, Hyakimaru is the one who made it possible...
And he's the one who ended up plaguing his town...
About episode 15 your guess was right, it wasn't a drop in animation quality,the reason was a guest director that is pretty famous for using that weird animation style as artistic choice,He also directed an episode of gurren lagann that has the same type of animation

Just to add, the animator was Osamu Kobayashi, who also directed Dororo's 1st ED (as well as a bunch of other similarly styled episodes like Panty & Stocking ep 5, the mini-arc of Naruto Shippuden eps 480-483, and full series like Paradise Kiss and Beck at studio Madhouse). Unfortunately, he passed away just last year, may he rest in peace.
When the demon bites the leg of the prosthetic maker and he says "I see. I wasn't alive in your eyes until now."
He means that's why the demond didn't kill him earlier.
I love watching Hyakkimaru's fight scenes. He's extremely fluid and graceful. I adore it when we have MCs or just characters in general that fight beautifully. Also, in line with below comments, I'm a girl who LOVES shounen anime instead of Shojo.

tho seriously, the way the when he says "okaa chan" it shows both the biological mother (forgot her name) and jukai is very sweet. hyakkimaru is calling both of them his mama
osamu tezuka really was ahead of his time he just needed someone to be respectful and bring out the true potential of his stories

Fun fact about Hyakkimaru. He never once used the sword on his waist
He kinda used it while fighting Bandon or whatever that wall is called.

I'm sorry if I'm a little late but the one who made the ending was EVE and he's such an amazing artist, he also did the op of Jujutsu Kaisen(a new anime that just came out and is very much fantastic and also made by MAPPA so you know the animation is gonna be god tier) and it's freaking fire

Have you ever noticed back in episode 15 where hyakkimaru gets his spine back, the clothing on his upper back is shredded. Then In the next scene, his clothing is as if it were never torn at all.

with episode 15 i think the stylistic change was a 100% wicker man type of scenario where the audience is supposed to believe that something is off not only about the village’s lord but the villagers themselves

The main moral of why Hyakkimaru is in the right is that quickly obtained means of prosperity can just as quickly fade, instead of sacrificing Hyakkimaru, they should have built prosperity in other means.

It's so sad to realize that only 4 of the characters which had importance in the story survived . . .
Eh sorry, but no season 2. This anime is a remake of the original Dororo back in 1969, which faithfuly adapted the manga which ended the same way. The manga, the old and the new anime diverted on the ending by a few details, but essentialy they ended on the same note with Dororo and Hyakkimaru separated and meeting years later. (in the manga and 1969's version because Daigo made a pact not with 12, but FOURTHY EIGHT demons, so Hyakki spent about 50 years hunting the remaining demonson an unseen journey while his father became the last demon by trading his own soul for power)
This anime a a God Damn work of art! A masterpiece for the ages!

He didn't have to cut it out, because Dororo didn't say it in this version. Dororo did it in the manga but not in the new anime.

NEVER stop the JoJo references! It is an unwritten law that all things that can be a JoJo reference must be referred to as such! Failure to comply will lead to charges of crimes against memes, which is punished with comments full of bad puns, dad jokes, and spoilers so terrible they can only be the result of a clever scheme by an enemy Stand user. The problem is that dororo is a manga from 1968, so this is a bit wrong to talk about jojo in this circonstance.
(The mangaka is Osamu Tetsuka, also know from the creation of the manga)

It’s a bit of a spoiler 😂 They mention it briefly in the first half when a church lady helps Dororo but state it in episode 17 or 18. “I wonder why your father decided to raise you as a boy”.

the fact he STILL Calls dororo a she, plus says his name wrong makes this so hard to watch, especially how he just ignore dororo saying HE was a boy.. other then that, i still absolutely love this video and channel..

Dororo is a girl.
Because at the beginning of the series you're led to believe Dororo is a boy until the episode where it reveals she is in fact, a girl? Anime Wins is just following the pattern the writers expected the audience to. ...have you even watched the show? xD Her gender is brought up at least three times (once in the nun reveal, second when Itachi strips her naked, third at the end when she is more grown up).
