I've owne Ken Onion Blur s30v for 90s years now and still part of my EDC with no issues I just told my Spyderco PM in s45vn so looking forward to it I like you tutorial looking for tutorial😊
I have a Para 3 in S45VN and I love it! I have a bunch of Benchmade S30V and I prefer the S45VN on my Para 3.
Love my Kizer DropBear in S45VN with DLC coating.
They need to do something about poor performance 20cv/m390. No ones doing it better except for a handful of brands. So yes I'd prefer s45vn or magnacut. Magnacut worries me because it seems difficult for brands to get into the 62-64 range without guidance.
I like crk s35vn and really like the s35vn in my north arms knives (they have a video showing what protocol they use also). I Don't think the north arms has been cardboard cut tested though. I used it for a year straight cutting boxes and other random edc stuff. But getting manufacturer's to do these advances protocols in mass production is a difficult ask cause they dont know how to. They just think what they offer is good enough and no one can tell the difference anyways as excuses to not bother.
Those that truly use their tools can tell the difference for sure
Just bought a para 3 in s45vn i was looking at a bugout in s30v pulled it out of the case and in my opion the fit and finish on the para 3 was better and from what ive seen the s45vn is marginally better than s30v
what u think about maxamet? thanks
better than both
Maxamet is the best steel you can get on a production knife...unless you live on the coast. No corrosion resistance
Have you used any cruwear?
Yes I have I actually have a whole series on cruwear under my steel reviews playlist
Everyone will want the s30v in the future when they stop using it and hard to get.
You talk to outpost76 don’t you? Wonder how he is no videos lately…
I lack s45 experience.
He’s just busy, but he’s doing good
i like S45VN a lot better but I also like Spyderco a lot more than Benchmade so I'm bias to say the least.
Your bias is not incorrect. Spyderco almost always nails their heat treatments, and their QC is very good. Can’t say the same for the Benchmade. Their steels are often too soft, and their QC is infamously unimpressive. They charge more, too!
Yep, I’m gonna hate on the Butterfly forever. It’s richly deserved.
I prefer both S30V and S45VN over S35VN, (which is fine, but seems like more of a compromise).
I sent ya an email the other day, Fletcher. Check your spam folder. We can now add the Knife Joker exclusive DLC CruWear Shaman AND the St. Nick’s exclusive DLC 4V Manix2 XL to the list. I snagged both of those this past week. 🤠
Thanks I’ll have look sorry if I haven’t responded
For a 13 year old who's voice hasn't changed yet, you did a good review
Thanks I’ll have to go back 8 years ago and let myself know

strange comment my dude
Life tip. Stop saying every sentence with an upward voice inflection at the end. You sound like every single sentence you say you're asking a question.
Triggered much?
