Great video Dan thanks. I have struggled with being trapped all my golfing life and never really found a fix. I see a lot of similar positions in my swing so I am going to give these fixes a try! Thanks again and keep up the videos, they are great!
James Meachin how is your swing coming along since implementing these tips? I have the same issues, felt like I was watching my swing. I do not have a severe left leg inward movement but I get trapped underneath the ball.
@@marklopez5382 Hi Mark, I am seeing some nice progress particularly in the backswing positions. Work to be done yet but its going to be a long process as I dont get to practice that much unfortunately. I seem to be struggling with the sequencing of the downswing still. I cannot stop firing my hips so early which I think gets me trapped.
Outstanding conceptual explanation of the problem and how to fix it. I’ve been dealing with these exact same issues for several months; however, my instructor’s approach has been to fix one piece at a time without first explaining the overall problem and all the steps required to remedy it. Now, thanks to Dan, I understand the process.
This is glorious, I've been looking for "straighten left leg to start downswing" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Penamillorn Peerless Prevalence - (do a search on google ) ? It is an awesome one of a kind product for discovering how to learn an effective golf swing method minus the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my neighbour got great results with it.
I’m a long time golfer and low handicapper but I also have trouble getting stuck. I’ve found clearing my left shoulder opens up my delivery. Great stuff!
this is brilliant Dan... I spent so much time fighting an out to in swing that I've fallen into this category of being too inside now, the video should be a huge help in straightening my swing out
Dan, this video release came at a great time while I am on a golf trip and resumed a similar tendency (bringing club to inside and collapsing left knee). I will make adjustments suggested before the last two rounds. Thanks!
Your the first I’ve found on here ever mentioning arms being longer than body hight and where that club needs to be so we don’t get stuck and feel the need to twist, pull and rip on other body parts to make awesome contact with minimal effort. 5 min 50 sec to 6 min 20 seconds. Finally. I’m 67 inches tall and arm span of 71 but with a fused low lumbar. Clubs are set to stand taller but I definitely get stuck a lot.

Top stuff that Dan. Club head in front and early wrist set has made a big difference to me and helped me to get in a better position at the top. Keep the vids coming 👍🏻
Dan, Love the channel. Good information. Your ability to put to words to the golf swing has help me loads. Only thing I have questions about is Hogans stance and ball position chart. does it have merit for the more modern era?
wow Dan, this is exactly what I've been fighting this season and exactly what I needed to see... now I've got something to work off of, thanks for the video!!!!!!!!!
Massive changes there Dan. Its great to see these top players getting some excellent advice. If I can take a small nugget of these lessons and improve help improve my game then hopefully l get better too?
Mr. Turner and I have a similar body type and similar tendencies (I only wish I could claim +2 handicap), your instruction will give me something to work on. Thanks much
Really good Dan... low and left is my bad shot and this is def something for me to practise. QUESTION... when I'm pitching or hitting half shots .... I find keeping the toe up in the backswing (i.e right palm pressure on left thumb) mean my strike goes BAD. I tend to fat everything if I take the power out... any tips?
Hi Dan, great video. Can you just explain the difference between the impact position of Sam and Tiger Woods because I can't see hardly anything, yet there's a huge difference in their play.
Great video Dan! I've reached a handicap of 5 and got stuck (I think) because I have very similar issues. Would be really interested in coming down to see you. How do I book? Always find your explanations really easy to follow and think it could be what I need to push on. 👍🏼
Dan, when I try this swing to the left even with a half swing (as I am 68 and only have a half swing), I end up pulling way left instead of straight. I am not coming over the top, so what am I doing wrong?
Isnt this pretty much the same as Pete Finch worked on? Im curious Dan is this what you prefer to see with better players, club head outside hands on way back, shorter swing, left knee fix and then swing left with body rotation to hit the small fade. Or is this just coincidence with these players you have put on the channel?
I get stuck and come from inside but can hit block slice. Is this just a club face issue? All help for this problem assumes one swings over the top which I definitely don’t (videod my swing to make sure)
Hi Dan, doesn't it seem like a whole generation is setting up with too much spine angle compared to the all time greats and all that is being done is band aid on top of band aid instead of getting one of the true fundamentals perfect? For instance the mantra of the year is "how to shallow the club" on the down swing. With that much spine angle, of course you will be steep on the way down so the lemmings follow with all kinds of band aids to "shallow the club". Off topic, I know but this young man is a perfect example of the new set up that seems to be modeled after the robot "iron byron", which is great for a machine but puts the human body in a non instinctive position of stress instead of the relaxed athleticism of the all time greats. Best to you.

Hopefully it works for you James 🤞🏻

This was extremely helpful because I feel like I'm doing the same exact thing. I appreciate you breaking down the steps and key things to look for.

Best golf content on youtube, you should have a LOT more subscribers. Great video.

Outstanding! I am not at the same level at all but have the same problem of getting stuck. Another great video Dan

Superb!! Level of detail is second to none. This is a good reminder for what we are working on!
Great video Dan! I tend to do the same with my left knee and get tilt as well when Im not mindful of it.
More of these progress type videos please Dan, very good.
Wow...really good tips...I have the same issues...will implement your tips ASAP....👊🏼👍🏼⛳
very informative. my pro identified the same fault in my movement primarily causing an over draw. similar fix with the take away.

Amazing coaching.
Great video Dan. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort. 👍
Been waiting for this video Dan! Exactly the same problem I am having being stuck.
Great work both of you! Exactly the sort of journey I need to make... 🤞🏻
Brilliant to see this progression vid and the process of improvement! 👏
Great teaching Dan.
wow Dan, this is exactly what I've been fighting this season and exactly what I needed to see... now I've got something to work off of, thanks for the video!!!!!!!!!

Excellent.
Great video. Thank you for sharing
What about a video of a mid handicap golfer, with cluttered mind (due to you lot !) and what key thoughts thoughts and feels to have ?
Love this type of vid Dan, keep it up
Another great video, Dan. Thanks!
Which drills suit to clear the left shoulder?
really good thanks!
Very good, will try this as club gets stuck behind me massively and i flip then fat/thin shots, i think this will be good for me too
Great video!

Hi Dan I wondering if you could do a video on players that have Ben Hogan like swings
Roy Thomson I don’t think there is anybody out there

So glad I found this. This is totally me

how far back from ball should alignment stick be so you can still hit ball
Fantastic content

”To clear” ???? ”Knee more stable” ??? ”Trapped” ???
I’ve been looking for this video other than my left leg being a tad straighter at impact this is exactly what is wrong with my swing.
