Dan, I've been searching for the cause and fix to my cross the line move for 4 years. This is the absolute secret to fix the better players long / cross the line issue! I'm a 2 handicap, and with just a few sessions focusing on my right elbow staying tucked with the scapula stable its changed my world. Pure rockets with every club! What a great video, many thanks.

Thanks Dan, flying elbow and one piece take away is where I go wrong but your videos are helping loads, so thanks again

I appreciate this video is from 6 years ago but I ended up here from watching a lot of Rick Shiels videos coming back to golf after a long period away. I've struggled with this problem for years and it certainly hasn't helped having multiple shoulder operations, but i shall take these tips to the driving range and see if I can finally conquer this problem, thank you.

Brilliant! Never would have thought that my club was getting behind me. Keeping the feeling of my right hand on top before hinging did it for me. Thanks mate. You are the best teacher on the Net!

Been trying to get my trail elbow more tucked for quite a while but struggling with it. This video is fantastic as it explains how to achieve that. I know when I get in that position my strike improves a lot so thanks for another great video Dan. Absolutely love your content - keep them coming.

OK, think about it. We've all read and watched virtually hundreds of articles and videos concerning across the line at the top. Did anyone ever give you a cause /fix? Probably not. DW did! Why? Because as "Poirot" says, "He has an abundance of the little grey cells." Thanks again Dan. I've never had a problem with this but I just enjoy watching quality golf instruction. My new routine now in NY with the time difference: Up at 6:00, Make Coffee, Watch Dan's latest Video! (LOL)

Hi Dan. I am really enjoying your videos and your 5 part series on taking the timing out of your swing has helped me get out of a "funk"'I was in with my swing. Great drills to work on at the range as well. Looking forward to more great content!

Hey Dan, thank you so much again. Brilliant how the link is with the right shoulder during the backswing. I've tried keeping my right elbow in, but I never understood why it didn't work all the time. Looking back at my swing, it was my right shoulder turned out of position a lot.

I think that was the best instruction I have ever seen and follows on the outcomes from a lesson I had with my local pro
You explained things he couldn't which I can now understand.

I have been searching for an answer to my over the to move, keeping my elbow in front of my hip instead of it going behind me suddenly gave me room to swing the club in front of me throughout the swing. I tried this on the range today and my ball striking was so solid I can't wait to get out on te course. Thanks

Thanks Dan, love the focus you have had on the back swing with this video and the "Reduce the timing series". Focusing on fixing my back swing has helped fix a lot of my swing faults. One thing I would love to see some videos on are how to practice at the driving range. Like how long do you do drills just practicing getting into these positions during a single session. As well how long the average person should expect to be practicing with these drills, days, weeks or months before it starts to become your normal swing. So really in a nut shell for someone around a 15-20 handicap, what should a hour and half long session in your mind look like at the driving range.

great video Dan! you just exactly described my tendencies as my head starts to dip and i tilt forward. however at impact i do get back in proper positions. i still want to fix this swing fault and it all starts with the right elbow! i wish you were my local teaching pro!

hi Dan love the video's your drills are great! just one thing I've been playing golf for years but never took it seriously until recently so when I'm looking for videos on your channel it's hard to know what each video is about by the name and as well for example this video is about how fix being across the line but you didn't explain what across the line actually is and I find that a problem with some of the videos, sorry for being critical but I would like to learn and I'm just not so familiar with more technical terms that you use. thanks

I started working on this after the video with rick. I can get to this position at the top but it definitely hasn't improved anything. I think the problem is i don't know what to do in transition and end up standing the shaft up and coming over the top. Do you have a video about fixing this? Thanks!

Very interesting videos, but why don't you ever ground the club? Swinging the club in the air doesn't help with visualising the correct path.

God I hate being across the line, if I shallow its like 50-50 if I hit a snap hook or hit an on target draw...if i don't shallow it which i don't a lot. Well...its not good

Its funny how golf works with pro athletes...its the only sport where we compare ourselves to the top .1%, we would never play backyard football or basketball and compare ourselves to Lebron James or Tom Brady, because we realize those guys are once in a lifetime talents, so we try to simplify the sport were playing to the techniques the average person can use...yet in golf...so many people bow their wrist to an extreme (as just one example) because Dustin Johnson does and is fine...well Dustin Johnson can also rotate so fucking hard that his in to out path crosses across neutral to out to in so he can hit a fade...theres maybe a handful of people ever that were even athletically capable of moving like that, let alone do it consistently
