    Been juicing 27 years. I make a little over 2 gallons. In 1997 it cost me $35. 2 weeks I spent 31.44. I drag it through garden. Includes 6 pounds of apples. Sugar below 100. When you juice over 90%extract the nutrients are removed. When you eat or blend in a mixer you only extract about33%. plus it takes 2 1/2 hours digest. plus a lot of energy. I’m. 77. Work out on gymnastic rings,skip rope. Squats. Getting ready to begin training for marathon number 7. My body functions like a 30 year old. Never tired. Never sick

    • @llineberger1
      @llineberger1 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @ juicing is not rocket science. I have a base I lean on. Carrots, celery, apples. Really tasty. 4 lbs carrots, one stalk of celery and a 3 lb bag of apples will make almost a gallon. If you use a cold press masticating juicer , the juice will stay fresh till you drink it. I add other things. Leafy greens always. This week kale, cilantro, parsley, ginger root, squash, cucumber. Made a full gallon. Beet juice is big time but it will dominate the flavor. Sometimes I’ll use three bunches with leafs with a three lb bag of apples. If I put it in my regular batch I will only use one bunch. Like I said, drag it through the garden. There are a lot of books loaded with recipes to address certain challenges. Used to read em. Don’t any more. If you do what I said you’ll get healthy. This is the number one thing you can do for good health. Will change your life. Will really slow the aging process. Will more than likely never get sick. In a few weeks you hunger will go away. You will lose cravings, especially for sweets. Start working out

    I hate the sugar police when it comes to juicing. Fruits and vegetables are 80-96% water, so how much sugar do they think is really in juicing? Keep in mind that 2 lb of fruit is about 150-200 calories. Juicing is going to reduce the calories, so for the most part, if you drink a gallon of fruit juice a day, you’re only drinking about 100-150 calories a day. That’s why it’s so detoxing because the body quickly absorbs the nutrients it needs and goes right back into autophagy.

    I’m not even going to waste my time watching this video I’m straight to the comments. Juicing is the best thing that has ever happened to humanity however you juice or whatever you choose to juice is always better then the fake juices you get in the supermarket. If you like the fiber then juice or blend the fruits. If you don’t like the fiber then just juice either way it’s extremely beneficial for the human body and the soul.

      The first sentence about fiber on his blog is "It’s true that juicing removes most of the insoluble fiber" LOL. His solution to the high sugar content in juice is, get this, using mostly vegetables!
      Juice absolutely affects your body differently than eating whole fruit and most juices have very high sugar content. Just admit you're defending it because it's delicious, stop being anti-science.

    • @lionintu
      @lionintu 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @johnh3611 I agree. The whole reason fruit juice is sweet is to lure you in to get the fibers your body needs in the first place. So choosing the juice without the fiber is a personal choice, but i dont think its a wholistic choice.

    Good video. The only place I differ from these points, is I definitely believe in the saying that you should 'juice your vegetables and eat your fruit.' Because juicing removes insoluble fiber it goes straight to your blood and can cause issues, especially for folks who have ever had blood sugar problems. This is why it's better to eat the fruit because it maintains the fiber which slows down the absorption of the sugars. I have always juiced 95% veggies, with green apples. I won't lie and say I never juice fruit because when watermelons are in season I'm all over them. I juice other fruit at some points but it isn't that often.

      No it doesn’t .. why do yall say this 😂 I am pre-diabetic and it does not cause problems for your blood sugar.. What raises your sugar is when you eating fructose… There is also ways to add a carrots and certain types of food that gives you a balance as well… The best thing to do is talk with your doctor who specializes in nutrition not just a regular provider.. Normal PCP does not know anything about natural ways to get you healthy without always adding medicine 😵‍💫… Naturopath dr. Is great way to get you back on track as well..

    • @Still_I_Ride

      @@ptcpowerup1350 I was literally just reading The Gerson Therapy book, the renowned healers, who have, for decades, used foods, including juices, to ignite a person's own healing in their body of cancer and other diseases- they're as natrual as they come. They literally talk about their protocol and REPLACING fruit when it comes to juices such as orange and even their infamous apple-carrot juice (they usually have folks drink 13 apple-carrot juices per day, one on the hour), to use instead green juices or grapefruit. Apple juice is eliminated all together. I consider myself an avid juicer and I have read and researched a ton about juicing, and have listened to countless people everyday and professionals when it comes to juicing and blood sugar and the consensus is don't do it if you're compromised - or, limit your intake and/or use low glycemic produce and/or couple it with other things to slow down the absorption of the sugar. Maybe you're super human and this doesn't apply to you, but I cannot think of a single natural doctor or anyone who has a lengthy background in juice therapy that says 'juice all the fruit you want if you have blood sugar issues (or even if you don't), and it won't impact you.' I also recommend reading the book 'Metabolical' by Robert Lustig, who is an MD who talks specifically about the impact of sugar on the body -- even in juices. You are able to do what works for you because I know there's no one-size-fits-all idea, but I'll continue to advocate for juicing vegetables and eating the fruit based on my knowledge and understanding.

    It's so amazing to me how many don't know how fructose from plants (complex) sugar and many other sugar sources (simple). How what soluble and insoluble fiber is and how it works. How fast different sugars break down in the body. What part of the body they go through during processing. If its mixed with sucrose first then turned in to glucose if it bypasses a specific organ or not. Sugars, what they mix with, how they are interacting with other chemicals in the body and processing time is important to know. Let's get things right before we knock juicing because of fiber and sugar. Know how they work and things work together 4 health.

    For people that skip breakfast, it’s good as well.

      People who make these kinds of comments just don't understand the real benefit of juicing. Juicing gives you an antioxidant, phytochemical, vitamin, mineral, enzyme concentrate that has many powerful medicinal benefits. It is medicine that can treat many diseases and the effects of aging. For example, you can get the nutrients and medicinal benefits from many kilograms or pounds of raw carrots, broccoli, red cabbage, etc., in one tall glass of raw juice, which has many health benefits, even helping to fight cancer. It is impossible to eat this much raw, or even cooked (which destroys many nutrients) and you would quickly become very bloated from all the fiber. You can pack in the disease fighting nutrients of raw juices all day to heal the body which would be impossible if you tried to eat all that insoluble fiber along with it. You only need some fiber through the other healthy foods you eat. You can do this along with juicing for increased health.

    Thanks for this video and the point on fiber being removed when juicing. For myself, dealing with digestion issues over the years I tried all types of different things to increase fiber....whether it was natural foods high in fiber or the supplement route and it wasn't until I actually started hydrating my system with fruit juice that I found connection with my bowels. Hydration or lack there of is usually the underlined issue for things not flowing properly in the body. Case and point, just having the water of a coconut with the fiber removed can supplement blood plasma. Again, the power of actual hydration.

    I used to grow a ton of wheatgrass and sprouts. I LOVE the smell of fresh juice. We get better produce in PNW than in California, I’ve been juicing off and on since I was 20, I’m 60 now I’ve been fairly healthy. I can still fit in clothes I wore in jr high.
    I think juicing and steaming are the bomb! I’ve been teaching people healthier ways of eating better for many years.
    If the individual has the discipline to realize food can be friend or foe, then make the choice.
    It doesn’t mean you can’t have ice cream or pizza every now and then.
    I also love how easy and grease free cleanup is.
    The too much sugar thing! I’ve had DOCTORS tell me that! You’d swear I just told them I survive on BIG MACS!
    While my life requires I must be without my kitchen gear at times, I KNOW I feel better when I’m eating and juicing doing MY LIFE MY WAY.
    My mom said I was strange about food since I was conceived. So be it!
    Stay blessed, luxuriously hydrated and prosperous!

    Juicing has helped me, I drink approximately an 8+10 oz glass of green juice per day or everything other day. My son makes mine and he uses a Kuvig juicer. I really enjoy my juice and yes it definitely helps my digestion system. I take the fiber and I added it to my chicken soup. Delicious

    Great video. What are your thoughts on smoothies vs juicing? My general concensus is that they both promote eating more fruits and vegetables, whereas most people wouldn't consume that same amount in the whole form.

    • @goldenkisses4u
      @goldenkisses4u 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Smoothies are great. I'd just say watch the amount of heat it makes because of how fast the blades are spinning to make the smoothie. I killed a smoothie literally last week trying to get it smoother. It separated into different layers because of the heat. So when getting a juicer it is always better to get a mastificating juicer, runs slower. Less heat, more juice and it last longer if you want to refrigerate for a day or 2, 3 at the max with a great juicer. The fast running one is called Centrifugal. You can see the juice separation very quick if you have it in clear glass. I strain my smoothie w/reusable coffee filter sometimes if I want to make it into juice. That's if you don't have a juicer yet.

    I purchased the exact juicer you have last November the 22nd, and I did not get to use it until February this year; the first time I used it, it was foamy and gritty, I was so disappointed. I sent Kuvings a video showing how terrible my juicer was producing and they said that was how it was supposed to be. I did not get any help from them and I tried again a month later in March and the same thing. I wasted a lot of money on organic fruit and veggies thinking I had the beast of juicers, and the juicer I gave away that I paid $275 for produced better juice.
    I am so disappointed, even though I got mine with a discount of $200 special, I still paid Kuvings $500 and haven't used it but twice, the juice taste horrible, it is so gritty and they did not help me at all. It is just sitting on my cart and I am trying to see what to do about this; they sent me junk, but I am not sure how to get them to send me another juicer, I do believe mine is a defect. I wish my juice looked like yours, I cannot afford to waste expensive fruits and vegetables...
    Can you advise ❤

    My wife was manager at a juice bar, where a number of customers raised concerns regarding the calorie and sugar content of the beverages. It is crucial to acknowledge that natural sugars present in fruits and vegetables differ from processed sugars and are generally deemed healthier. The tendency to circumvent the actual issues or over-analyze situations to an excessive degree can be quite astonishing. (Insanity) 😂😂

      Tell that person, juicing concentrates all the other nutrients that fight disease, the antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phytochemicals etc., which have many medicinal benefits, which you get much less of just trying to eat all that raw fiber. It's impossible to eat many pounds or kilograms of raw vegetables for the medicinal benefits because you get overloaded/bloated with too much fiber, but you can take all these nutrients as raw juices all day long to heal the body and fight many diseases and aging. You only need some fiber from the other healthy foods in your diet. Juicing gives you the ultimate health boosting medicinal drink along with a healthy diet.

    Well when you’re on the older side then 15 years isn’t bad. I spent about $300 for a juicer but it’s a waste of money for me as I rarely juice. So I sold it. I think one of the main reasons I got it was supposedly it makes coconut cream but I found it doesn’t. Lately been thinking about getting a juicer again but then im like will anything be different from before. Will I juice often? I’ve never did juicing where I had apples celery parsley lemon ginger etc. not sure I’d even be able to stomach it. The other thing is the cleaning of the juicer was super humbug. A lot of work. Though supposedly the Nama is easier to clean. But here’s the main thing who can afford to juice especially as you have to get organic. Every person that uses celery for juicing says to use the whole thing not one piece. That alone is probably $4 then apples etc. way too costly Dont know if all of their models are easy. $4 for a mini watermelon ? Not bad I use to be able to get the small Thai watermelons for $2. No longer , now cheapest is $5.the larger ones cost over $1 a lb organic about $1. 40 a lb. Also most of the watermelons I’ve gotten haven’t been good. Why some ill buy ones cut in half as them I can see how they look. But those ones are more expensive per lb

    I have both the Auto10 & Nama and they do not remove all fiber unless you use a siv or mesh strainer. No it’s not a smoothie and it’s not supposed to be but there is always small, fine pieces of fiber in it. Fresh juice will ALAWYS be batter than any store brought juice which most people drink anyway. If you drink smoothies, freeze the pulp in ice trays and that solves the waste issue.
