I currently have a Ryzen 3 3200g with an asus a320m-k and an rx 6600, obviously there is a bottleneck, I am getting a combo of an i5-9400f and a gigabyte z390ud for the same price as a ryzen 5 2600. What do you recommend? Should I buy the combo or the Ryzen 5 2600?
My personal opinion is go Intel, save up a little and maybe get a b660 with i5 13400/i5 12400 F variant or not. And if you want the AMD platform the same, save some more and look for good budget options. Maybe am5 platform.
It depends on what resolution you play at and what settings. The higher the resolution and settings the bigger the GPU usage. The lower the settings and the resolution the bigger the CPU usage.
I have that pair but playing rdr2 I do get a smooth game play however entering towns results in pfs drops and lag spikes. Also I do the the occasional lag spike when playing any games tbh. Idk what causes it.
Can I ask you how many fps you get now in fortnite
I currently have a 9400f paired with a 1650 super, I’m just wondering if a used 500 watt psu would be enough for a 6650 xt
Yes, that is the minimum recommended.
@@FGSTH thank you. Also one last question, how bad is the bottleneck when using low settings and high settings ?
@@Gregbenson_ I didn't test it so I don't know.
No man i dont think so thats kinda pushin it. A 6650 uses quite a bit more power than a 6600 and uses an 8 pin and a 6 pin pcie power cord because its a higher wattage. You will be most likely just on the line with a rx 6600 xt. My brother has your same setup as you, and was looking into the same cards to get him and honestly the 6600 is probably your best bet, plus its way cheaper.
Lol no, min 600w
My specs- i5 9400 MSI h310m 450 watt. I'am looking for a GPU for about 20k, for a good 1080p gaming.I'am confused between GTX 1660s and rx 6600 , I know rx 6600 is better but 450 watt will be enough? And also my motherboard has pcie 3 pls suggest
450w will be enough, it consumes 120w maximum i think.
@@FGSTH but should i buy rx 6600 i hv pcie 3 support in my mobo
@@harshwin426 that's not a problem.
@@FGSTH thx
@@harshwin426 you can see the performance here, it was tested with pcie 3.
i have i5 9400f and rx 6600 but if i lowering rx 6600 frequency i can have more performance from my CPU?
Cpu is a bottle neck
I’m wondering if a used 400 watt psu would be enough for a 6600
Normally yes, but it depends.
To be on the safe side minimum 550w.
Hola.
Hola. Es posible, si.
Hey @FGS Testing Hardware. Awesome video bro... I am finding this video from long time. I have same Processor i5 9400f. I am thinking to buy rx6600 second hand. Its costing around 13k . I want to do live streaming with Mobile (BGMI) and some pc games. Can i use this GPU ? Please suggest. waiting for your reply bro...
Hi, I'm not into streaming so I can't give advice. But maybe someone will see the comment section and will help. 😎
@@FGSTH Thanks for reply. Still waiting for someone who can help me with this.
I have i5 9600k can i play on 240hz with the rx 6600 or is it too low? Otherwise i have to upgrade my whole system. I often only play comp so…
You can play on a 540hz with it, it depends on your resolution and settings.
@@FGSTH i will play mostly on low and 1080p so youre think a 6600 is enough?
I can't give you a concrete number but I think it would be a smooth experience. Think about spending a little more if possible for a 6700 or 6700xt.
@@FGSTH but then the bottleneck would be a big problem
@@mirac_kcb That is a possibility, yes.
is i5-9400f and rx 6600 a good combination for games like the witcher 3 cyberpunk 2077 fortnite god of war?
It's not the best but you can make it😎
It depends on your budget and area.
I'm planning on buying rx 6600 and I have i5 9400f , will I be able to get 60fps in games like god of war , rdr 2 , cyberpunk??
@@Amsidkdnsls With the right settings, yes😊
Please reply to my comment , whats the best gpu for i5 9400 ?? Theres a rx 6600 on amazon for 240 dollar , should i go for it??? Please 🙏 tell me
It's not my place to tell you what to do with your budget. You saw the video.
Base your decision on that.
I think it's a good cheap combo but that is only my opinion.
Hello, can you tell me why my FPS on a similar build is much lower than yours?
That is a simple question but could have too many answers....
i got an i5 9400f and rx 6600xt and in most games i only get 80fps + some drop fps (cpu usage 98% , gpu usage 60%) any solution ??
Because of 1080p the CPU is ai 98% and GPU at 60% . Maybe try 1440p ?
Or lower the settings.
buy new cpu
i have 9400 2 ssds 120gb one 1tb hdd 16 gb 2666 ram can irun xt on 500 watt supply
??
?????
@@FGSTH i said i5 9400f
120gb sata SSDs
1TB HDD
16 GB Ram 2666Mhz
500w psu
Can i run 6600XT with these specs or do i need to replace psu ?
@@kratazzgaming2786 This is something else. Yes you can run them.
@@FGSTH i just wanted to confirm it from a knowledgeable person, 🙂
I have 500w 80plus bronze psu... Will it be safe if i use rx 6600 in that psu?
I think you will be ok.
En el cyberpunk tiene rtx puesto?
No, it's not that capable. Even RTX cards struggle.
What motherboard should I buy for i5 9400f and rx 6600 xt?
You can try H310 of you want the cheapest one, but note that the ram is going to probably run at 2666mhz.
@@FGSTH I already have a h310m e r2. 0 motherboard but it doesn't support gpus like rx 6600 xt Or rtx 3060 ti
How does it not support the Rx 6600, i had the same confic a few months ago and it ran fine.
@@FGSTH I don't know bro but when I went to buy 3060 ti Or rx 6600 xt, they told your motherboard won't support it
@@arindamsinha5857 My opinion is that it works no problem but I'm not an expert 😊 maybe keep what you have now and save some more money and go for something new later.
tengo el mismo procesador estaba pensando en comprar esa grafica pero tengo un monitor de 60 hz xd; pero seria un avance
Depende de lo que quieras jugar en él, si es CSGO / Valorant / Cod Warzone, etc., no hay problema.
Is that good combo (cpu and gpu)?
For a budget build it would, but I would use 12th Gen now.
tengo el mismo procesador y grafica y me va mal :c
Hay un gran cuello de botella verdad? Tendria que ir por un mejor procesador
I some games, yes.
Which psu is compatible for this build??
I think 550w would be a good idea.
Hay cuello de botella con ese procesador?
En algunos juegos, sí.
can i run it wht 500watt power suply
yes, but i racomended you a 600w gold
@@lorenzoguida1419 my budget doesn't recommend me that 😂
Which is a last game
Red Dead Redemption 2
it bottlenecking?
a little bit yes if you play at 1080p
Is i5 9400f bottlenecking Rx 6600??
A little bit yes... 😊
@@FGSTH I'm getting 100 % cpu uses in some games
@@alokemukherjee405 Try lowering the GPU clock.
@@FGSTH ok
@@alokemukherjee405 Did you get any results?
Should I buy a pc with it at 500€?
Depends on what else is in it.
ridiculo como solo es que en fornite el cuello de botella es horrible, en los demas juegos no es tan fuerte el bottleneck
Every game has a different way of functioning and using the CPU / GPU.
i ´have a 9500F lol
