Back in the early 1970's my brother, 2 cousins, and I dug where an outhouse was in 1953.
We found medicine bottles, soda bottles, keys, a license plate, and lots of bits of metal.
We sure created some great memories that week.😊

you find really cool old bottles and stuff, i learn quite a bit every time i watch. I would say you're the authority on bottle digging so if you're digging a hole i'd trust that hole, regardless there are 3 or 4 other people are around. Completely safe. Nobody told Mozart how to compose music, it's the same with anyone saying anything to you about how to dig bottles.

  • @georgemelear-vz8jm

Be careful undermining that bank, in 1976 I got buried up to my neck, with a 300 lb. rock across both of my legs resulting in a trip to the emergency room, had a badly sprained bright blue right foot, and bruised both legs, all this happened because the person next to me stuck a shovel into the wrong place caving the bank down on top of me. There is no way to tell if it's about to fall, and will happen when you least expect it, BE CAREFUL, remove the overburden as you dig, unless you are shoring it up as you dig in, too many variables to be considered, even if you are confident in your ability. I have many years experience digging in antique bottle dumps, found the city dump for Ft. Worth, Texas from 1849 to about 1915, and have dug up about 3000 bottles over the years.
