Even as rough as that '55 is someone would restore it. Hardtop Bel Air's are extremely collectible. Some restorers bring them back from little more than a Vehicle Identification number. Great video!

With the price of collectible cars these days restorers are just looking for just enough to build onto. If it has a Vin plate it’s game. Somebody would definitely drag that Chevy and that Dodge out of there.

So the dodge truck is a post WW2 military truck. With it originally being olive drab with white markings it is probably US Army. In those era of vehicles, WW2 and post WW2 the number on the hood is not a serial number. When the military ordered vehicles their were lot numbers of an order received from the manufacturer when it was accepted by the military. This number allowed the military to keep track of the lot they received. Individual vehicles numbers were typically stenciled on the bumpers.

Thanks for the great adventure, was really interesting. 🇺🇸 wish you could have gone farther in but at the same time I’m glad you didn’t. Being unprepared for that makes things very sketchy. You guys did great!

That old mine needs to be blown up and sealed. Those antique cars should be purchased and then sold to someone who would resurrect them as moonshiners vehicles - that's real history rotting away in the woods.

That old mine has as much history in it as those old cars are worth, would you blow up the old dangerous rusty cars as well?

Major pucker factor watching the mine part of this video!!! As a kid, I wouldn't have thought twice about going in there. As an adult, I remembered to breathe when you both were out of the mine!! I love how knowledgeable you guys are and how you bring these places to life. Awesome video and stay safe guys!

As you showed with the Tide car sticker , and that TV also proves . This property was used until at least the early 60's . That foundation by the old still could have been an out bldg for stock and turned into a location to store shine goods ... maybe . Cool old mine . Can't believe you are out there unarmed . Not me !! :D Stay safe guys ....

Also remember they'd need ventilation if they were operating a still in that mine. They'd probably be burning wood or coal so you definitely wouldn't want that burning way in the back. You'd end up gassing yourself out! It'd have to be located right near the entrance. I know a guy who found one in a copper mine in my area. It was located right near a stope cave in so there was a proper air supply. There was also a huge pile of clinker nearby as well as some pop bottles for filling
