Favorite album from KG is probably Nonagon Infinity, but I really love them all. Other notable mentions for favorite albums are are Polygondwanaland, Infest the Rat's Nest, and Petrodragonic Apocalypse.

It sounds like you might've missed a lot; they only keep getting better. Some of those poppy progressive type songs you might've missed: Astroturf, O.N.E., If Not Now Then When, and maybe the cream of that genre's crop, Catching Smoke. Dig in, man, it's a feast of tasty sounds.
From Petrodragonic, i think you should check out Dragon and Motor Spirit, some of the best songs they've made imo. Dragon is proggy thrash, and motor spirit is straight up prog metal.
