@@DJPTEXAS well I actually debated for a long while if I should just get the suzuki since it's almost half the price of KTM but IMO I felt the DRZ would need entirely to much work straight out the box for me!
I am not a small rider (6'3" and about 225-230 lbs) so between that and the suzuki is still carburator I felt the KTM was the better bike for my situation! I am not saying that the suzuki is bad I mean they are proven to take a beating and keep on going!
The ducati I don't have much of an opinion as I don't feel like it's a supermoto plus ducati service is stupid expensive and I don't know the 1st thing about there valve setup! Anyway hope this helps!
@@KTM_livin It took me 4 years to realise this also haha. Last year I bought a suzuki drz400sm and it's way to much fun. Can't imagine how good the 450's or 690's are. Future bikes for sure😁

CC I gotta disagree with you on the 690. Once you get the intake and power commander on the KTM it hits just like a dirtbike!! Those bikes come choked up from factory pretty bad! I m telling ya you can just twist throttle on it just like your 450 and she stands up screaming for you to hold on
You know I had one in 2016 and I also thought ( without your mods mentioned ) the bikes power was disappointing....
@@DJPTEXAS it comes from factory EXTREMELY CHOKED UP. Between the whole emissions system (cat SAS etc) and how lean they have it tuned just to get it past EU5 or whatever number they are on. I was truly amazed at the difference those mods made! However you shouldn't have to drop over $2k into modifications on a 14K$ bike just to get it to run at peak performance

But it's wayyyyyy better than any 450. It has the same feeling as any dirt bike. you're judging the 690 without using it. Your 450 doesn't hit like my 690 does I guarantee it. It's put together way better, very high quality, TC control cornering traction control cornering ABS and abs. Say you wanted to drag race, I could wheelie and beat you no joke. The 690 is a bully of a sm and to be honest after a weight reduction you don't notice the extra weight compared to a 450 unless ur doing crazy shit, which you do not do.. your missing out man. If you're ever in the Hudson valley area let me know I'll let you ride my SMCR and I'm certain you're buying one immediately or it'll scare you. My boy with a 2022 s1000rr took my 690 out, it tossed him on his back, he stopped riding after that he said that bike "violated him".
Agreed, if your me stunting or proper leaning/racing and off-roading which he doesn’t then a 450 is needed
Straight facts!
I know I would never even consider trading my 690 SMCR for a 450! The 690 hits just as mean the weight is amazingly distributed so we'll. The bike does not feel that heavy you can throw it just like a dirtbike!! And as we know once take the boot off it's neck and let her breathe it's INSANELY POWERFUL and the torque is outta this world. I also just changed my sprockets up to 14-44 (I think. I always forget the numbers 🤦) anyway -1 up front +2 out back.
I am close to CC I need to go meet up and swap bikes for a while! We can just ride in the direction of KTM dealer so he can trade the yammy in 🤣

How many hours you got on that SM now? I've checked mine at 70 hours and nothing moved, I use it for offroading aswell.
I couldn't agree more with that seat concepts seat! I wish I woulda bought mine before I even got my KTM SMCR! These stock seats are actually painful to ride more that 20 min at a time!
I also ride 2 up with my daughter pretty often and that was always her complaint as well.
KTM has 2x4's for seats......

How are the Honda CRF450RL & KTM 450 SMR & Husqvarna FE 501S ..... compared to Yamaha YZ450FX ?
450 RL is way too corked up and expensive to have it ready to ride and perform your looking at around $15000. For that just buy a 690/701. The fs450/450smr is wicked my boy has one. And my other boy has a ktm500 (2018) that's a nasty bike as well. 690/701 is way better if u aren't hitting the SM track often. If you doing some track days and mostly street, maybe some dirt roads, or exploring 690/701 all day.

@@KTM_livin I have street tires, and I take my SMCR all over, trails, hill climbs, shit hit a jump at 80mph. This bike is the shit. The only flaw is the weight. But that's only if ur going to be hitting the sumo track. But otherwise - I have a 2019 Aprilia tuono v4. I put 10,500 miles on my 690, to the 2k on my Aprilia. I used the v4 twice since buying the 690. It does everything right! It's the perfect bike, no joke

Yea mine is basically same as yours but have the leo vince exhaust! I did just take one bit of his advice tho and got me a set of shinko 705s and they look mean AF. I wanna play a lil off road this season! Maybe prove to CC that those couple extra pounds aren't even noticable because of how that weight is really balanced pretty damn good
Cycle Cruza. The title of this video is "The Ultimate Supermoto", but the following things in your build don't work: solenoid, headlight, horn, and radiator fan. Sounds more like the bike to avoid for a Supermoto Build. Seems it would be way smarter to use the Yamaha Enduro with factory headlight to convert to a Supermoto. Just keeping it real - Peace ✌️
