I’m sitting alone, it’s 2AM and I’m in tears. A dear loved one of mine is so hurt, and so angry and lost at God and his ways. I tried my best to explain, but let my pride take over, and not my love. I’m praying my utter faith out for this loved one, they feel so alone and so wrong and guilty. Please pray for him, please ask your patron Saint, your guardian angel and Jesus Christ, to be with him. It’s never too late for prayer. Please pray for his sake. I don’t know what to do, all I know is prayer, I cannot make the step for him, and I never will. So please, please pray for him.

Father Mike, when you said that God let’s broken hearts happen so that it can be healed by Him, man, I couldn’t take it and broke down. It hit home and I think this is God’s way of saying, “you’re on the right path.. chose Me” thank you so much Father. Honestly. 🙏

Father Mike, I've commented to most people I know that I've seen more families biking or walking together, Dad's playing with kids, kids playing outside, or just people walking their dogs than I have in the last 10 years combined. Also, the earth is cleaning itself up from our pollution. Yes, bad things are happening but there's a lot of good coming out of this crisis if we have eyes to see it

    • @timDOGcrane555
      @timDOGcrane555 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

I do agree, good things will come out of this crisis. Although, The earth does not “Clean itself“, The earth is not a sentient being, it is not a god. I believe this is a chastisement that God is letting happen to us probably because of the indifference The human race has of him and his laws.

There was an old TV show called "Father Knows Best" staring Robert Young as the father. The children always had questions and conflicts. The father (Robert Young) never gave a easy to follow answer. There was a process, his children had to learn by doing. I think that a common story line in many 1950's and 1960's TV shows. You made me realize about that process going on between God and my life. Part of the process is hearing from Father Mike.

Father Mike, THANK YOU for this video! I’m a recent convert (2 years ago, 4/1 was my Catholic birthday!) and come from a secular family, so I’ve been kind of on my own with studying and practicing my religion in general. Your videos have been a great help to me all throughout the process. I turned this on to help me focus before saying my nightly prayer, something I’ve been struggling with recently, and what you said in this video just completely, specifically clicked with what I’m struggling with right now. This was exactly what I needed to here and just gave me a major break through in my relationship with God. Thank you for all you do! (:

I've had two awful, painful, brutal heartbreaks within the past year, but this process has brought me profoundly closer to God. Before, I would've said God hated me and was punishing me, but I've learned through the accidental discovery of Fr Mike's videos that's not the truth at all. God allowed me to suffer through these heartbreaks, so I could learn about His love for me and respond accordingly when He called me to Him. I no longer believe God hates me when I suffer; instead, I feel His love and try to understand what He is teaching me. Opening my heart this way has been life changing, and it makes this suffering less painful. It still hurts, but I feel I am loved throughout. And I know it's all in His plan, so I surrender over and over.
Thank you Ascension and Father Mike! You are doing God's work!

I prayed and asked God for wisdom, knowledge, and development of my talents, skills, and intelligence....then God through fate and circumstances made me decide to stop schooling, have depression and anxiety and stay at home for years of fears and worries and sadness...but I learned many things new that I didn't learn in school and can't learn from books in school from people around me, from other people through digital and virtual means, from other books I never read before, from undergoing life, by staying with my family, by discovering new things I can do and capable of doing, by understanding my self more than ever....
I asked and pray to God to make me strong, brave, and more confident....then God through my life's journey let me have depression and anxiety, fears, worries, sadness, insomnias, stress, nightmares, and pains... but I learned to try to find new ways to stay hopeful amidst all those, and for me that's a form.of strength, bravery, and endurance..I also learned to try to build my confidence again everyday as everyday it breaks, so then everyday I rebuild it over and over....
I asked and prayed to God to have temperance and patience.....then God through my life got me into this mental, emtional, psychological, and spiritual journey for more than 5 years already without much changes and improvements....but I learned to wait, to trust, and to stay hopeful even the things happening to me and my life seem not to change that much, and even I had moments of improvement but then afterwards I fall again, fail again, and get stuck again in this cycle of sadness, anger, fears, sleepless nights, pains, moments of hopelessness and restlessness, and lack of confidence.
I prayed to God for abundance, prosperity, and wealth.....then God made me stayed at home with my family, not being able to have the confidence and grit to attend school again and do my life well which I am used to, and not having anymore the fame I had out of my schooling, talents, intelligence, and leadership...but I realized the wealth of my family and their love and support for me, the prosperity of isolation and taking good care of myself, the prosperity to have time to deal with my health, the abundance of important but commonly less noticed privileges and life that I have, the abundance of small and little things that sustains life and brings joy, and the wealth of having the ability to still use my talents, share my knowledge, inspire others, counsel others I can, lead some people, and learn new things even at home with less to no direct interpersonal contact to the public, other people, my community, and strangers.
I asked and prayed to God for freedom to be myself, to achieve my dreams and ambitions in life, to do and live the life that I want....then God allowed me to fell, to fail, to have these issues and problems, to isolate, and undergo this totally new, different, sad, painful, and hope-breaking journery...but I realized how still free I am despite of these, how free I am compared to other people in past and present, and how I still can live what I desire in simple ways.
I asked and prayed to God to allow His will to be done unto me if that's what it takes for me to live a better life, to glorify Him, and to be His instrument....then God sent me into this darkest path of my life and allowed me to undergo nightmares, doubts, fears, questions, denials, stress, isolation, hopelessness, weakness, restlessness, cowardice, limitations, mental and emotional health conditions, physical health conditions, thoughts of loosing hope, moments of discouraging my dreams and plans, moments of wanting to end my life, moments of fear of going to sleep because of nightmares and sleep paralysis but having moments too of not wanting to wake up and going on forever and in eternity deep in my goodnight sleep whenever I had one and not wanting to wake up to experience a routine of a cycle of my current situation over and over again...but I learned to still hope, rebuild my hope, to trust, and to rebuild my trust everyday and every time over and over again, and to keep myself and my existence despite all the physical, mental, emotional, psychological, moral, and spiritual challenges I am facing.
I don't know what am I here for in life, in Earth, and in this year of 2020...I don't know what will happen later, tomorrow, the next day after it, and in the future tomorrows that will come....I don't know where I am going, what should I do, how should I do, where should I go, who I shall need the most, who will I meet or meet again, and what will happen to me...I don't know if this is still God's will and plans that I shpuld still trust and go through despite the hard times, or is it the tricks of the enemies wanting me to fail and go on into cycle of this difficult moments until I loose my faith and hope, or is this my punishment, the consequences I need to undergo because of my sins and wickedness, of my evils and wrongdoings, of my religious and spiritual struggles....or is this a curse that someon put me into, or a curse I got into unintentionally...or is this my fault after all, the fruits of my daily bad choices and poor decisions, the consequences of my mind, the products of my past, and the results of my complains, laziness, pride, and inactions.....I don't know exactly.
Still, I undergo this path, this journey, these struggles, these challenges...and still trust and always try to keep a small flame of hope within me.

Just confide in Him, entrust Him everything in your life and let Him operate in you through His Holy Spirit. Don't despair, God ways are different from ours but definitely the Best! He is our Father so in an unmissable way He will provide all what our body and soul need. Be patient and learn from these ordeals . Never feel abandoned or loved less than others by Our Lord because He bestowes His Love and Mercy the Same way upon each and everyone , including those wicked and lost.
You are loved dear sibling , God is allowing you to carry a part of His Holy Cross by permitting you to experience tough moments during your journey here on Earth. You are being purified this way and drawn closer to God each time you realize and accept with patience and submission the suffering you have experienced and the one you are to undergo . Amen!

Love the broken heart part of the video ❤ not only does it speak to me because of the situation I am going thru but also because in general "He heals the brokenhearted..." is my favourite line of the Bible (Psalm 147:3).
    Thank you Fr. Mike.

@Ana I've been BEGGING God to help me. And all I get is more pain. God is driving me away from him. Maybe he wants me to blow my brains out, and then punish me for it

Same😅 I was like bruh, why do you keep closing all these doors I try to walk into?🤔 Now I understood the assignment😂 He did finally open one door 🚪. I know! He opened it because He's closed every other single door😅 Freedom is not doing what I want, it's freedom from sin and from walking down the wrong paths; the freedom to do His divine Will. It's impossible to walk into His Will for our lives while we are still enslaved to sin. Therefore He transforms us in the process until we are shaped into what is needed to accomplish His Will for us; which His plan of goodness for us and of great fulfillment. So much wisdom I kept asking why a long time too until... He explained to me a thing or two about Wisdom...Thank you Lord for showing me the way you have planed for me, even though the process is difficult, you've proven to be along my side and that I just need to keep riding the ride. Thank you for being the good Sheppard. Indeed, He has a specific plan for each one of us. Glory be to God! Our tests will soon become our testimonies🙏🎁❤️😎💪

This really hits home. As a catechumen, I got so upset that, after waiting for so long to get baptized, the Easter batch of baptism has to be postponed due to COVID-19 plague. I thought, God, if You really want me to get closer to You, why won't You let me get baptized soon? Why do I have to stay home and follow mass at home for a month and a few weeks?
Today is my last day of novena. I pray so Easter wouldn't get cancelled (eventho it's already cancelled in my diocese) and then this video pops up. I guess this completes the answer to my prayer (which the answer is no). Now I understand. Maybe it's the final test of my three years of journey to be officially the daughter of God. Maybe it's the final part of the long process. And after looking back, you're right. It's a long rocky road to reach this point for me but He's always been with me... I mean, I would've not survived if He wasn't there. I feel so loved.

Fr Mike - This is awesome. But I admit it can be a bit challenging to wrap our heads around this approach. As a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd catechist, I'm struck by how similar this is to the Montessori-based approach we have found to be most successful for helping our children grow in faith. Just giving a child the answer might feel helpful to them in the moment, but being willing to go on the journey and guide them on the journey of discovering the answer is when we see the child really grow. This frequently means you have to watch the child try something you know will fail to help really teach them a better way. Hope this helps people who wonder why God would choose such a frustrating process for us to learn. I'm convinced it's because He is our loving Father and this really is the best way for us to learn. HTH. Be well and God bless!
