    Brilliant Tutorial as always. Would love to see more Eevee Archviz tutorials.

      @architecturetopics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate! Will try to do some Eevee render soon but for the time being, if you want to render this scene with Eevee know that both the models and techniques we used can be rendered with Eevee and Cycles, so a scene like this one can easily animated and rendered with Eevee by adjusting the lighting a bit. if you want to know more about Eevee interior lighting watch this tutorial it should give you a simple way to do any scene th-cam.com/video/nr1MamBKAec/w-d-xo.html

    where can I find such a curtain? great turtorial!

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try 3dsky site for free models. use the same shader that used in this curtain and just change the texture for the fabric .

    do you have glass shaders assigned to windows?

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I usually don't use glass in windows when i have curtains it don't show up in render and just increases the render time.

    • @jkartz92
      @jkartz92 ปีที่แล้ว

      just incase if there isn't any curtains, how do you manage? @@architecturetopics

    Great tutorial!!!
    Why doesn't bevel work on my bookshelf? Applied scale. Went to edit mode, merge by distance and there's no way to apply it.
    Any idea?

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate! sometimes blender due to spacing between edges or irregular shapes in mesh stop the bevel from working. So just try to open the bevel modifier and in the geometry tab uncheck Clamp overlap. then you can reduce the bevel amount to a small value

    Could anyone explain why the cube only scales upwards when changing the Z-axis in the dimensions panel? When I change the value, the cube scales both upwards and downwards which is really annoying

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depend on the pivot point of the object, if it's in the middle it will scale the object in both direction up and down.
      Moving an object in edit mode won't affect the pivot point and that's why in the start we entered edit mode and aligned the bottom face of the cube with the world grid 0:40 , meaning the cube pivot at bottom now which should appears as a white dot.
      and if we scale it from now on, it will not go under the pivot/world grid.
      hope this help

    That makes me wonder how a tutorial for upper intermediate and pros would look like🤔

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well the process is quite the same in steps, it's just shifting focus from modeling which is the basics for beginners to light techniques and detailed materials. like in tutorial we would model this room in one min then spend the remaining 20+ min adding bump maps and dirt imperfections etc..
