I enjoyed the fishing and trout in this video obviously, but what REALLY impressed me was how clean the audio was on that windy river. I work in the production department at a church and recording our river baptism videos every summer has taught me how hard that can be, so impressive job on the audio. 👍🧈
Where I’m from we call this the Provo river bounce rig. I’ve caught dozens of fish doing this with a slight variety. I pull in 20 feet of line and as the rig passes me I lower my rod tip and shake the rod tip while feeding in the line I stripped in. I can fish 30 feet upstream and 30 feet down stream.
Love the vids Brian and ive gotten to where i buy something dang near every paycheck, this sport is truly addicting. You and flip are probably my two biggest inspirations. Thanks keep up the good work ill keep watching and buying
A couple of people I work with are up in Ohio now steelhead fishing. I just started trying to fly fish, so hopefully someday I’ll head up that way from Maryland and try it out. Your videos definitely help a lot for beginning fly fishing!
Great video. I was first taught brian's method, and have recently adapted to josh's method. Ill mend both ways depending which set up is in my hand and what things look like.
I've been on steelhead water so many times this year with only one bite to show for it. Can you tell me why you chose that specific run? It doesn't look deep enough, and there isn't any cover from the sun.
Would you guys do a video for switch rods? I know josh uses one. I was wondering how practical it’s use is here in the Midwest? Great videos as always guys!
Thanks for coming Steelheading with us! Had too much fun making this one... Like Butter!
Is there an advantage to an immediate mend, over a reach cast? Or is it just personal preference?
@@ThePorpoisepower Either or. Same thing.

Great video guys, just realized I have been striking in the wrong direction when nymphing!

How do you guys feel about the single-hand spey lines for this application? I see a whole lot of roll-casts out there.
They work well.
What leader and fly line are you using? 3x 4x 5x etc?
As he states here, that video is coming next. Stay tuned.

Thanks for watching. You'd have to check with Brian directly with that question. He can be reached through the shop.
Brian what jacket are you wearing?
Thanks for watching and checking but you’ll need to contact Brian directly with that question. Email him or call him at the shop.

The Perfect Inch... There's a joke in there somewhere
Yes...but this is a family friendly channel. That would get us banned.
‘The water was clear enough for us to spot fish’ ???? You’re standing in chocolate milk
They spotted plenty of fish. Thanks.
