I have pierced my ears 3 times in my life, but my skin is so sensitive to almost every kind of metal and they would always get puffy and red so I gave up. This is a legit option.
Had my ears pierced for a long time...but the first earrings I ever wore were clip-on earrings, then came getting my ears pierced with post earrings, and after some time I got a pair of small gold hoop earrings from my mom, I've been wearing them for over a week right now, and I can actually sleep with them in, and they don't come out! I also have a couple pairs of hook earrings, one pair is pink, silver, red, yellow, and black dreamcatchers, and the other pair is pretty silver key earrings! I can literally wear both pairs of hook earrings(one at a time, of course) without the plastic tube backs meant to go on them, and they don't come out because they stay pretty stable, but I still reach up to check to see if they're still there from time to time, because you never know...also, my hoop earrings aren't very secure(they're likely to come unhooked and fall on the floor, happened *twice* today, [once during my 1st period at school, where the earring landed to the left of my chair, I had to ask one of the other girls in the room for help getting it back in. She couldn't hook the earring once she got it back in my piercing because of her nails, but that was okay because my nails aren't that long because I have a bad habit of biting them, so I was able to hook the earring once it was back in my piercing.] [second time it happened in my bedroom when I brushed my hand against my right earring, causing it to come unhooked and fall in the carpet floor. Thankfully the carpet isn't very long, so I was able to find the earring and my mom helped me put it back in and hook it.]) Any tips on how to keep them secure? Also, does anyone know how to do italics in a TH-cam comment?
Hi Sakura, thanks for checking this out and commenting. Great question. I've had problems with earrings backs too. So I went to Michael's and got extra earring backs and swap those out on all my earrings. The backs I got there were really tight and secure.
The tape thing is pretty clever! I cosplay and I want to do one in the future with earrings but I won't get my ears peirced due to my career option, so I really want to try this. Thank you for the idea! ☆

You have made a huge contribution to me. I have keloids and I can't get my ears pierced because I will form keloids on my ears but i love earrings. The clip-ons pinch my ears. This is a great solution. Thank you.

I was 26 when I tried having my ears pierced by my cosmetic surgeon (the same doctor who did my nose job in 1997). It took more time and was more cumbersome as he had to use local anesthesia on my earlobes prior to getting these pierced. The actual piercing took only a few minutes but the aftermath or bleeding took almost 30 minutes because Doc said I "am a bleeder". Sad to say, in spite of the hydrogen peroxide dabbing and other aftercare "ceremonies", pus developed on my EL's thus infection threatened. No choice but to let the holes naturally close.

The only question I have is "How long does it stay on???"Both of those tapes I have tries for wounds and the clear tape stays on longer however take into sweating.

You can take your pierced earrings and convert them if your holes have grown shut. These devices are cheap. And you'll need jewellers pliers but they are cheap.
I'm going to be dressing up as Sinbad of the Seven Seas (the version from Magi, not classic Arabic mythology) for Halloween and part of the costume involves hoop earrings. I was afraid I was going to have to spend a larger amount of money than I was wanting to on getting my ears pierced, but since this seems to work, I think I'll do this instead. Vlead looks better if no one ever told you you might want to consider they didn't know but my choice would be clear tape looks better than the brown tape

But I do notice all the cute earrings my baby sister wears. I bought really cute ear cuffs, but havent worn them, actually i think my ears are too fat for them. I was just looking online for some new style clips, I dont think tape would hold long for me but I do have surgical tape maybe I will play around with it.
