    Had a 2003 Toyota Corolla with 250,000+ miles. The car NEVER broke down or stranded me. Traded it in for a 2018 model. Corolla's are #1 in my book for reliability.

    I’m wanting to get this car for my wife. I owned a 97 Toyota Corolla for many years, I drove it everywhere. So reliable, and easy to work on. After owning many other cars after it, I’m deciding to go back to the corolla. I don’t care for all the extra flashy stuff I just want a car that will do it’s job and know that my wife, and baby will be happy with it

    I bought my Toyota Corolla LE on 03/26/19 and I've real best decision because I truly love my car.

  • @davinp
    @davinp 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    My SE is loaded with features that the LE featured here doesn't have:
    - leather interior (seats are clothed in the middle)
    - a strip of led lights on the bumper
    - dual led headlights
    - rear spoiler
    - 17 inch alloy wheels
    - Color-keyed heated power outside mirrors with turn signal indicators
    - sport mode & paddles
    - premium package adds moonroof, Smart key (push to start and trunk open button in trunk lid), 7 inch touch screen (Etunes Plus) which adds Scout GPS, XM Radio and Voice Recognition

    • @chocolatewheelchair
      @chocolatewheelchair 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Davin Peterson in my opinion for this class the le is the best value. The indash gps is bad. The led running lights are cool but not needed. Same with alloys. The best option is the keyless start in my opinion. Leather / leatherette is over rated. I miss having cloth seats personally.

  • @qwertyqaz2227
    @qwertyqaz2227 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The headrests in the back can't be removed anymore. They block a lot of visibility. The sound system doesn't sound nearly as good as a 2005 Corolla. There is no more storage space in the dash area. There used to be three compartments with doors where you could keep things private and not have them exposed to dust. They cheaped out on the interior. I hope they didn't cheap out on the engine and transmission and everything that affects reliability.

  • @nodak81
    @nodak81 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Really really wish they hadn't gone CVT with these. It's honestly the only drawback now. I keep my cars until the wheels fall off and a CVT generally WILL be the first thing to fail on any car equipped with one.

    I like the Camry and the Avalon better. The reason for that is both the Camry and the Avalon has that new 2019 look. The Corolla still has that old 2014 look. The Camry and the Avalon has a lot of new features to offer. The Corolla doesn’t have the new features that the Camry and Avalon offer.

    • @thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947
      @thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The Corolla will have a completely new look for the 2020 model year, with spy shots already there. Stay tuned, m8. :)

    • @jxmar_
      @jxmar_ 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      FarhantheMovieGuy Productions what will Toyota do with the sienna??!! It’s been the same since 2011..

    • @thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947
      @thecriticalthinkeroutsidet4947 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Proper Gods Tell me about it. I've been expecting a Sienna redesign to show up for the 2017 or 2018 model year in the first place... same with the Yaris right after the Camry, but before the Avalon.
      Only Toyota knows what are they doing to it....

    • @NaijaBoiTellEm
      @NaijaBoiTellEm 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      FarhantheMovieGuy Productions Toyota has always been slow to update their vehicles. Just because the world today is more of "microwave" society doesn't mean Toyota has to change their ways.

    I picked up my 2019 used with 41K miles on it. Drives great.
    I’m a very normal driver and never in a rush so the CVT transmission works great for me because I don’t demand instant speed from it.
    If you have a lead foot 🦶 don’t buy this car, you’ll be disappointed and you’ll probably break the transmission.

    While I know it’s not a high end vehicle, but for a LE trim, the use of rear drum brakes and plastic wheel covers is reminiscent of cars back in the 1980s or early 90s.

      On a car yes, but on the trucks for example like the Tacoma hell no ! The drums on the Tacoma is like a blessing when rock climbing or going on sand, or just plain off road, because the drum isolates the environment and lets the rear end hold ! Something like the Chevy colorado with those puny rotors in the back allow rocks, and earthly debris to compromise your stopping power but most importantly your hold on the off road surface. The Chevy is very dangerous and sluggish off road when you stop compared to the Tacoma with drums in the rear. Trust me they are cheap on cars, but every truck should have them standard if you get it in 4x4 !

    Since the 2019 is an outgoing model, possibly next year they'll be discounting these for around 16K or so. I wonder about the steering feedback though. Is it heavy enough to feel secure at highway speeds? I know the last generation Corollas('09-'13) had problems with the steering being too light.

    Is this a good transmission? I think it no longer comes with a stick to measure the oil. Does it mean that it no longer has maintenance?

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It still needs transmission fluid changes. The sealed system without a dipstick is mainly to keep contaminates from entering the system.

    • @manolosicilia3512
      @manolosicilia3512 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MikesCarInfo How do you know how much oil level the transmission has? I imagine it's because of some light on the dashboard. My best friend wanted to stay away from those transmissions and the car she liked has a CVT. (that Corolla model)

    • @MikesCarInfo
      @MikesCarInfo  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @manolosicilia3512 The fluid level will remain full unless there is a leak (rare). When the dealership changes the fluid, they re-fill it with the appropriate amount of fluid.

    I just bought this car 2 months ago and i love it but i hate the fact that if one of your headlight led go out youll have to replace the whole headlight and thatll cost 1,000 thats what a guy at the toyota dealership just told me today is that true ?

    • @MikesCarInfo

      The LEDs should last for decades. You can buy a whole headlight assembly used fairly cheap.

    The hatch looks awful, I much preferred the look of the discontinued Matrix. Can't really go wrong with the reliability of the Corolla although it's so bland. I use GPS a lot on my phone so no Android Auto is a problem with Toyota.

      Fevian Cortes The Chevy Cruze 1.4T is $9,999 or $10,000 off MSRP and much better deal obviously. Cruze is easy to ecu tune for $300-600 for Focus ST performance and still manage 50 mpg at 65 mph.
