Very nice video. Due to the heavy snowfall in the heart of the Sierra in 2023, I started exploring the topo maps, scoping out the Southern Sierra around Kennedy Meadows South, anticipating less snow and earlier melt. I've become intensely interested in the stretch from KMS, exiting at Trail Pass and down to the Cottonwood Lakes Overnight Campground, a distance of about 42 miles. However, I'm also considering starting at KMS and exiting at Olancha Pass like you guys did. It looks like you guys left your cars at the parking lot near the Kennedy Meadows Campground, is that correct? And your shuttle car was at the Olancha Pass TH lot. How was the road leading up to Olancha Pass, is it drivable without 4W drive? Thanks for a great video.
Yes we did a shuttle and left a car at the Olancha Pass TH. We did have 4WD but I don't think it was needed at the time we went. Hope you have a great time.
@@davidfeiler1279 Thanks for your reply. Did you also park at the lot near the Kennedy Meadows Campground when you started your trip? Or did you leave it near the KM store or Grumpy's?
Another epic adventure - just beautiful!
It certainly was. Glad you enjoyed it.
Amazing scenery!!
I totally agree 🙂

I should have another one coming out very soon now that summer is gearing up🙂
That's such beautiful country
Yeah, you can't go wrong in the Sierras.
It’s alway great to watch the trip in different perspective.
Another one for the books, Tagay!
I just watched your video from this trip, and now I see how the professionals do it. Tagay!

A great crew is the key.

We parked in the Kennedy Meadows Campground which was right next to the trail head. The KM store is too far from the trail head.
Sorry, but the camera guy shakes the camera soooo much it makes me dizzy....
Thanks for the feedback. Will work on it.
