One thing to consider is that pro makeup artists will be able to make your makeup more long- wearing than you probably ever will be able to. I am pretty great at doing my own makeup, but I am so glad I got a professional for my wedding.
Monica is a well established makeup artist at this point. She has done makeup looks that lasted over 16 hours. She doesn't need a makeup artist to do it for her. She should do her own makeup if she wants to --she has the skills

that estee lauder foundation took me through 2 graduations, 4 wedding events (as guest) & almost 2.5yrs of waitressing on weekends! it’s not so easy to find a replacement when it comes to longevity & shade match. will most likely be the foundation I’m wearing for my PhD defense + afterparty too 🤣 good luck on the wedding planning & all the related events girlll
honestly i hope you share how some of the planning looks like for a desi & american wedding, i'm first gen pakistani and i feel like a complete american or desi wedding just wouldn't feel authentic to me either. congrats again and you look beautiful no matter what makeup you decide to go with!!

I really love this look. It’s also so great to see an option that a bit more natural and subtle. There usually not in the indian bride vocabulary 😂 even though this is more subtle I would have loved a slightly more stronger shimmer eye shadow

She’s a timeless beauty, in both her wedding photos and daily life 🎉
