In last 2 weeks I've probably have the best luck since buying whiskey. I found Blanton's SB for $65, EHT Small Batch for $45, SHenks, Bombergers and Booker's 2023-01 at the grocery stores for MSRP. This is the first for me.

Man, this was a GREAT video! It would be so fun to have an unlimited money roll someday. You came across a TON of great bottles. The Knob Creek store pick for $49.99 is a steal! I've never seen one below $60.00. Keep posting the great content! Oh.........and the Saz Rye for $69.99??? Yikes. I paid $21.95 a couple of months back. Crazy how prices are all over the place.

The black label Blanton’s is the 80 proof one made for the Japanese market. I found one a couple weeks back for $129 so I bought it to save as collector tradebait.

I can’t believe those prices, I can get eagle rare for $37 and Blanton’s for $71 in my local store pretty much anytime I want. It hurts to see that stores are willing to do their customers that dirty.

I'm in Ohio and realizing the disparity is crazy on the BT products, Eagle Rare & Weller SR. We get Weller SR under $30 with tax pretty easy and I see the stores keeping in behind the counter in GA. WIth that said, a bottle of ER at retail is very very tough to come by. Hard to find at $60 from a secondary consumer seller, let alone $50 from the liquor stores in GA.
Its really wild out here. Ohio gets lucky with BT products but so is life
@@Bourbon_HunterOhio gets lucky but consumers in Ohio like myself rarely find those “allocated “products like Eagle Rare and Blanton’s unless we take a day off work and wait in line at Kroger for 2-5 hours. TBH I don’t even know which ones are allocated but the BT products fly off before they’re on the shelves.
I love how at the last store when you asked how long has that been sitting there and she said "not long". That sums up the problem with Buffalo Trace whiskey. These stores jack it up and people actually fall for it😬

I legitimately couldn’t believe the weller markup at these local stores but I came up clutch at bev mo. Weller 12 year for $49.99 and blantons for $79.99. EH Taylor for $65.99. Got lucky. I live in nor cal but damn near Oregon.
Garrison Cowboy is their 2nd highest level. Msrp is about $250 at the distillery. Barrel proof. Mine is 134.8. Pretty aggressive for an already aggressive brand. But the crown jewel is Laguna Madre. That is about $375 msrp. Only released every once in awhile. Was able to pick it up at their distillery last month. Never seen it in the stores. Secondary is crazy on that one. Lucky to live close to their place.

It’s sold at one store in Ny for 59.99 and I got it for 89.99. Nothing mind blowing. Find a Rebecca creek double barrel Spanish oak for $55 and buy the whole case because it’s the best bourbon I have ever ever had. Blantons and all that trash is nothing compared to it

The very first store is less than 5 minutes from my house and the prices on some of their bottles is roughhhhhhh
The Kentucky Hand Barrel bottle is clear on the bottom, so you can see the color of it. The white bottle is pretty good.
That Russell's reserve single barrel was a bit pricey ? Its funny that Blanton's special reserve is available everywhere here in Australia and its $100-$120 a bottle... a few years ago before it got all hyped and buffalo Trace made it "rare" it was a $50 bottle....
Shout out laws yellow label 45$ right price same here. 3 year colorado. Decent stuff. Leopold or Boulder spirits are good to try too. 60$ or less in general.

One of my favorites in Pooler is Liquor Land Warehouse.
They have 5 or 6 store picks and the Watershed cask strength is legit for $60.

It’s not that common but I’ve see the “cigar” finish Good Times a fair bit.
Personally, I stay away from anything Good Times. They can be pretty gimmicky with their finishes. Same with Oak and Eden.

Last store, the JD Coy Hill was cheaper than it usually is on the secondary lol, none of those bottles sell hence that's why they have so many.
That store owner needs to sell some of those bottles for MSRP instead of 50x retail

The rye smoke wagon is really good imo a ton sweeter than the uncut unfiltered has more of a candy taste then the old smoke wagon burn it’s a great sipper!

Amazing how you can find eagle rare all over down there, yet the Weller special reserve is 79 . I can get it in Tulsa for 27, yet can’t find the Eagle rare . Keep up the good work.

That last store, that Weller 107 was $399, WTF, I paid $149 and thought I was maybe paying too much. The price disparity is nuts with these places.

The store I work at has more Blantons then any other allocated item. 80+ bottles, idk why it doesn't get put out more often. I don't control that.

the only thing I can say about the last store was that looked like JD Coy Hill for and even at $599 🤮🤮🤮 it’s like $300-400 cheaper than what people are trying to sell it at.
Holy highway robbery!!! You figure they'd GIVE you a gallon of lube with each bottle!!!! I've been LUCKY enough to get a couple of bottles of Blantons at MRSP as well as Eagle Rare. That Old Ezra 7 is pretty good in my opinion $60 to $70 bucks out this way in Wy, spicy vanilla, cinnamon, and smokey Carmel are the flavors that I get out of it. Awesome to see you're not timid about calling out the stores on their BS pricing...👍👍👍 keep the videos coming!!!

Just like a lot of stores, there is a mix of pretty good and then really bad pricing. That Bakers is $89.00 and can be found at most places around me for $60 and this is Massachusetts!!! Also, another example is the Stagg that is $150 over the over-price, however, I haven't even seen any of that yet..

$80-$100 is not a bad price for the Redwood Empire Cask Strength. I bought all of mine at $89.99. Their bottled-in-bond was in the $80's too, so not a bad price to get cask strength.

Smoke wagon BIB rye is great. Had a sample of the malted rye a few weeks ago and it was fantastic.
That knob creek rye just added a 7 year age statement to the bottle. Picked one up and have to compare it to my non age stated bottle soon.

Cowboy bourbon is personally one of my favs. It can be hard to justify the price, but great stuff.

It’s interesting- I was at Willett few months back and they told me any purple top 9 or older is heaven hill . Anything younger is their own

@@Bourbon_Hunter yeah. in fact, willett was always (like in the 80s and 90s) a non distiller producer. they sourced all their stuff until last 5-10 years when they restarted their brand. what made the purple tops famous were the super old sourced barrels from heaven hill back in the 80s/90s. they still have them to sample at their distillery but were 3-400 an ounce (although for 27 or 31 year old whiskey, I see why its so expensive)
@@Bourbon_Hunter This is partially incorrect. While there was a time Willett was primarily an NDP, there are plenty of 9 year (and as of this year, 10 year) purple tops floating around that are Willett distillate.
The bottle inspected in the video is Willett distillate. How do I know? The label on the back says “distilled, aged, and bottled by Willett distillery”
Sourced purple tops will say “Distilled in Kentucky, Bottled by Willett Distillery.”
What were you looking for on the Early Times? How do they get that much Eagle Rare? I get laughed at when I ask about it here.
Early Times Black cap was made by Brown Forman and the new stuff is made by Sazerac. The old stuff is better 🤙🏼🥃

My first buy of Redwood was Lost Monarch and I finished that bottle in less than a week it was sooo good. The pipe dream is great too. For $35 why not buy both! 🤷🏻♂️ Lost Monarch if you have to pick one

Definitely would have bought a couple of the RR sib for $56.00. It’s $85.00 to $90.00 now in Western Ky. Most definitely would have bought that Springbank 12 CS. That Knob Creek is a deal and the picks I’ve had have been great.

What are you checking for on the top of the early times bottles? Also have a bottle of the smoke wagon rye from what I’ve seen it’s a lot harder to come by than the others - not nearly as hard as desert jewel, though. It’s pretty good, not a huge fan of ryes though. Fiddler from ASW is good a few of their bottles people go crazy for. Local to Ga in ATL.

Glad you are trying to include prices more. I travel a lot so like to do research beforehand if possible and seeing prices helps not only with that but with gifts of what I bring to friends. Like that Knob Creek 12 selling for $200 😂 and here I was upset that a regular easy to get shelfer went up to $70 a few months ago.

No respect for a liquor store that stacks bottles in their side like they did with Eagle Rare. They also had the 2021 Yellowstone limited edition for 200 and that was young juice and not worth msrp while the 2022 was fantastic

Batch one I would pay $200 all day long.
Batch 2-4 are basically the same.
Have a great store owner by me who blinded batches 2-5 for us. RR13 is just not worth the money no matter how much they hype it or tater it up and overprice it. Most RRSiB store picks are better than the 13 or at least similar in quality but less than half the cost.

I asked the catch, they said buy 1 other bottle for equal or more price. I bought a Russell 10 Year for 35$ and the ER store pick for $35. I was happy. Couple of months later was called by a Baton Rouge store that they got Blanton's in and $55 a bottle.

SMH…. That last store is a prime example of why I personally believe that all liquor should be state ran to keep the prices fair for everyone in this country. My state is state liquor controlled and I can get Blanton for $67.99, Eagle rare for $34.99, Buffalo trace for $29.99 and Weller special reserve for $19.99. I would never pay $250 for a bottle of Blantons heck not even $100 for Blantons knowing that there’s other people in the same country that are getting it for under $70 in other states.
Shameful how someone these stores gouging folks who don't know bourbon prices.
