yeah for FPS I'd advice getting used to moving your entire arm. Usually what most pros do is making big turns with their arm and doing micro adjustments with their wrist. A lower sens effectively makes the target bigger on your mousepad, so it'll make your flicks more accurate when you've trained your muscle memory enough. Tracking might be a problem on lower sens though, so experiment and find a good middle ground. Usually my method for checking my tracking aim is to strafe a circle around a training dummy and try to track it's head; if I can keep my crosshair on it 100% of the time without straining my wrist I'm good for tracking
On a 27" 1440p monitor with a logitech g502, I use 2000dpi and I think anything lower then that, with this monitor, would be a bit too slow. What sensitivity you use is partly going to depend on your monitor size, resolution and maybe to a smaller extent the quality of the mouse laser but 6000 is still pretty high unless she is playing in 4k with a 32" screen or something.
Imo it’s based on your experience for the comfort zone of setting in the first place. Mine is 34” WQHD (1440p) but I feel most comfortable at 450-600 dpi. But yeah, in any case it is, 6000 dpi feels like moving cursor in speed force.
I have a similar monitor, a G403 and play on 800 dpi and 1.8 sensitivity in Apex and Titanfall 2 and feel like my aim is pretty good with it. At least got to dia with the setting.
I have a 1440p 32inch and i us 800 . You just have to go lower with your sens to avoid pixel skiping . It most comes down to . If you your self have the mobility to us low sens and what games you play . If you dont play shotters it doesnt matter at all meaby it coud be bad for your wrist over long time becouse you move it alot.
Does your monitor resolution and size even have anything to do with in game sensitivity? Obviously when using the desktop you need a higher curser sensitivity to move around but I am pretty sure you don't need to move your mouse further in a game just because you use a higher resolution right?
@@sassiest2053 resolution is what affects how much you move in game per unit distance you move your mouse. its a similar affect to what you experience on desktop. that is, higher resolution with same dpi feels "slower" (moves less). that said, the math won't necessarily add up. one would think going from 1080p to 1440p would mean 1.33x your dpi for 1080p would make 1440p feel the same, but it can still feel different in games.
I'm at 8200 dpi and I don't even need twitchy reflexes for the games I play. I'm just used to only moving my wrist to move across the entire screen. I think this is a zoomer thing, throwing your mouse across the mouse pad rapidly. My little brother is like that as well.

This is tangential to the point of the video but I really love the weird indirect dynamic of Selen and Elira. I don't know if it was intentional or if they are on the same wavelength, but, while they of course have highly distinct voices, they still have the same verbal tics of a sharp "WHAT" (tho Selen goes a bit further with "THE FUCK" added on) and an elongated "OH MYY GOOOOD". We got good examples of Selen's version of that in this video. Not included is the "ThankyouThaaaaaankyou" they both do while reading donations too. To get back on the point of the video, I've seen the opposite. On some art streams, one artist was always complimented for his excellent lining and was often asked how he did it. I forget what it's called in the art program, but as far as I understand, it's because he essentially cranks the dpi super low so that it's super stable (felt weird to say that cus its something he's cranking UP on the program), but, and he admits this, while it does make his lines super clean, it also makes the process of lining so much longer for him.
6000 edpi is totally in the realm of whats acceptable. I don't play apex, but in overwatch most dps pros play at around 4000-5000 but even there you have oddballs that pop off at over 25k like haksal on genji.
It depends on if you play with your wrist, or your arm. I play with my wrist, and when I played competitively in Call of Duty 4 for over a decade, I used 5,700dpi on my Logitech G9x, 8,200dpi on my G700s and I started using 12,000dpi when I got my first Logitech G503. Its all about what you are used to.
I recently changed to even higher mouse sensitivity than I used before I'm allergic to that picking up the mouse and setting it down to continue moving thing I need to do a tiny swoosh and be on the other edge of the screen🚹
Umm i wouldn't call it unnatural, it depends on your setup and what game that you play, but well i guess i could say that most people usually uses 800-3000 dpi
I have my main set to 2800 and i have a button to set it to 800 if i need it for scopes. But i prefer the higher one since my desk is rather small so the area where i can move my mouse is limited, i just move my wrist instead of the whole arm
I started out using 1600 dpi with 5 in-game sens, and then switched to 10, and I'm now sitting at 7.5, so basically 12000 edpi for apex. Pretty much every game is different but my friends all think I'm insane for playing with sens that high. I'm used to only using my wrist and anything lower than 4000 is too slow now.
i used to run 2600 dpi back in the day, but i moved to 1600dpi in an attempt to lower hardware mouse acceleration (also back in the day) yes i am old :c now, i tuned my mouse sens to something that feels the most natural for me to track targets accurately without second guessing my initial flicks... that landed me at 1100 dpi. was at 1000, but with in game sens modifiers set to what they were, 180 flicks took too much room, so i had to raise it a bit :/ i will still move my mouse a good 50cm for a 180 flick XD i was pretty accurate with quick scope sniper shots at 2600dpi, but man tracking was hard. my heart beat would be enough to cause overshoot in recoil correction while tracking if i used a full auto gun. semi auto even worse because the mouse had additional movement every time i clicked. but perhaps the biggest and most annoying issue of high dpi, making small accurate corrections with high dpi when the mouse becomes stationary momentarily on the table/mouse pad. depending on the material of the mouse feet and the table, the transition from not moving to moving can be abrupt resulting in constant overshooting when tracking.
I use 6400 DPI but LISTEN i use rawaccel to add a 0.125 multiplier. So it gets the precision and responsiveness of high dpi but with "normal" dpi. So it's basically just on 800. But I also use 880 on my y axis because I'm a total nerdy weirdo
I play mainly play a certain rrthym game, so I usually only play with 800 dpi with abit slower ingame setting 0.75, I cant really imagine playing with such dpi

Nah I mean tbh I kinda get her. When my polling rate is 1000 then my mouse only works when it’s like 6000 DPI. But then apparently that was wrong, so I changed my polling rate to 150 and now use 1200 DPI. No idea if it’s wrong or not, but it seems to work. I think.
A lot of mouse models don’t give a shit what you tell it to use as a polling rate, they do their own thing regardless.
Polling rate should be as high as possible for maximum accuracy afiak
What is a polling rate
@@sovereign2896 see I tried setting it high, and my mouse could barely move. Only at like 4-5K dpi did it move.
@@THE.Troublesome maybe you accidentally lowered you windows cursor sensitivity, for around windows (with 1k polling) I normally use 3200 because don't want to be moving my arm around a lot when I am just browsing the web, but 800 DPI in game. Maybe just raise cursor speed a bit and keep the polling rate up.
Ya forgot something. The flex tape meme's "That's a lot of damage!" Voice clip lol
i'm at 3200 DPI and i have no problems moving my mouse accurately. It really just depends on what you're used to. Since i have always had at least 3200, i'm used to it and have not had carpal tunnel. if i put it any lower i literally can't play anything anymore because i'm not used to it and my Desk is way too small for it anyways xD
Holy shit and I thought my DPI was high at 1600
As a person graduated in Zylbrad Aimbot Acadamy i can confirm you can improve your aim at low DPI settings
Woxic: "Ohh are you challenging me?"
Damn even Woxic only has like half of that DPI
I may have just learnt why I suck at FPS so much
Is it because of your High/Low DPI?
@@PEF2232 I have 3200 DPI on. Mainly because I don't wanna move my wrist much but also because I'm used to playing hack n' slash games where I need to turn the camera very fast. Never realized it would have a negative impact on FPS aiming until I played Ganyu in Genshin Impact, but somehow only really figured it out after watching this clip. lol.
yeah for FPS I'd advice getting used to moving your entire arm.
It is like she is playing with training weights
her pronounce no wonder is so cute
i learned about dpi today thank you
On a 27" 1440p monitor with a logitech g502, I use 2000dpi and I think anything lower then that, with this monitor, would be a bit too slow.
@@sassiest2053 resolution is what affects how much you move in game per unit distance you move your mouse. its a similar affect to what you experience on desktop. that is, higher resolution with same dpi feels "slower" (moves less). that said, the math won't necessarily add up. one would think going from 1080p to 1440p would mean 1.33x your dpi for 1080p would make 1440p feel the same, but it can still feel different in games.
finana: I am speed
I had a time where I was trying to get used to higher dpi settings, but I just couldn’t be very precise with them, so now I’m down to 1000 dpi
finana is built different
I'm at 8200 dpi and I don't even need twitchy reflexes for the games I play. I'm just used to only moving my wrist to move across the entire screen. I think this is a zoomer thing, throwing your mouse across the mouse pad rapidly. My little brother is like that as well.
Me who uses mouse accel: I'm worse than Finana
Bruh. With that DPI, her hand twitches and her cursor flies into a new dimension
tht ehm was so legit 👌
1:13 that iconic WHAT is very similar to Elira's. It runs in the family I guess
me at 4500 dpi: *nervous laugh* yeah feesh... put that shit down...
800-1200 is always the sweet spot
I'm now officially scared of Finana
6000 dpi jesus christ
her actual mouse sensitivity has to be
Haha yeah i was suprised too, but apparently some people put their dpi higher than her, i guess everyone has their own preferences(well ofc) , but yeah from my own experience i can't handle more than 3k dpi, i need to get used to it first lol, and thanks for the subs too
Finance is fast fish
the persona 4 bgm at the end tho
👀👀❄️❄️
that "snowflakes" at the end took me back tho
Haha glad someone recognized the song
the music in that game really is memorable to me, so is very nice hearing it randomly from a clip
Yeah definitely. P3, P4 and P5 soundtracks most of them are really memorable
You guys know that scene in One Punch Man, the sideways jump? That's basically Finana's mouse.
The ED song hit hard 😢 Snowflakes, man
Yeah haha it reminds us that we will have say goodbyes to our friends soon
"I have to move my hands a lot"
You sure that's a computer mouse and not a wiimote?
"Who the fuck would use mouse acceleration on"
Yeah, she's the fps player.
JESUS
Selen's eDPI is at around 1100 (800dpi + 1.3ingame sens). Finana would be at 6000 eDPI. That's insane lmao. Even I only used to hit around 2500-3000 max (used to run 3.5 on 800dpi) until I saw a ton of good players running low sens. Now I am not only getting better beams, it's better for my wrists, and I started using lowered sensitivity whenever I can!
1600dpi + teflon skates = Mmm-mmm-mmh~! *[chef's kiss]*
I'm at 800 DPI and 1.4 setting, this fish controls her mouse at a molecular level.
Thought my 1400dpi (2.71 in CS:GO) was high but recently dropped to 1100 (2.0 in CS:GO). Dropping my dpi made me play more consistently.
I'm using 800 DPI and 1200 DPI, 800 for fps with in game sensitivity being around 1.6~2.1, and 1200 dpi for league with sensitivity 1.5
For playing effectively 6000 edpi the control on the p2020 was kinda crazy
knowing her grip and space 6k dpi is understandable
I'm comfortable at 3000 DPI
You just tell your self that becouse you never tryed a Good Dpi
@@xythiera7255 some people have different preferences 🤷
@@goingback2u that's true but what he said is also true. I was comfortable with 1800 dpi for normal use and 2000+ dpi when I played mmo coz of little mouse space. But now I can barely control 1200 dpi.
@@goingback2u being comfortable with something doesn't make it good, I can be comfortable using 6000 DPI and have a preference for that but that doesn't mean I am not going to be better at the game with a lower sensitivity (although just around windows it is entirely preference). Different play styles will mean slightly different sensitivities (along with mouse pad space) and obviously if you don't play FPS games and only MMO's or something it is going to be different.
I ever wonder if people know you can have a high dpi and a low software setting you can achieve similar feel in mouse movement with huge Delta's in dpi
As someone who had ample mousepad space, Ive used 1600 since thad where Im used to. But damn, 6000, imagine how many 360s can be done in that.
Finana: *tell Selen that her mousse has 6000 DPI*
Selen: *"That's mouse is fucking illegal."*
"no wonder I had it at 0.9%!!!!"
Proceeds to raise it 0.1%
😂 Hey sometimes a small difference may make things better haha
Whoa, P3 music. And it's the NY music too. Damn, good tastes.
As for DPI, I do 800ish, but I don't play FPS anymore. I do like small DPI for FPS tho.
above 2000 dpi with horizontal mouse play, plus small mouse pad or place?.......amazing genius
i paid for the whole hero sensor I'll use the whole hero sensor
lets pretend that um lets pretend that AIRPLANES IN THE NIGHT SKY ARE LIKE SHOOTING STARS, I COULD REALLY USE A WISH RIGHT NOW WISH RIGHT NOW WISH RIGHT NOW
This is tangential to the point of the video but I really love the weird indirect dynamic of Selen and Elira.
Jesus crust and I thought that me having 3000 dpi was high.
Selen:" who the fk put Mouse acceleration on?"
Me:*Stands still while averting my eyes*
You shoudnt have it on becouse it makes it realy hard to get your musel memory down .
Oh i see
It depends on if you play with your wrist, or your arm. I play with my wrist, and when I played competitively in Call of Duty 4 for over a decade, I used 5,700dpi on my Logitech G9x, 8,200dpi on my G700s and I started using 12,000dpi when I got my first Logitech G503. Its all about what you are used to.
I recently changed to even higher mouse sensitivity than I used before
I'm allergic to that picking up the mouse and setting it down to continue moving thing I need to do a tiny swoosh and be on the other edge of the screen🚹
Me who uses 4000 dpi on a laptop and confused after seeing this: uhh so that's not natural??
Umm i wouldn't call it unnatural, it depends on your setup and what game that you play, but well i guess i could say that most people usually uses 800-3000 dpi
@@PEF2232 ohh that explains Thanks! O7
The fact that it's that high simply because she doesn't want to move her hand is based.
I paid for the whole mouse, I'm gonna use all the DPI !!!
So that she can do 360 no scope without lifting the mouse
I paid for the whole mouse. I will use all the DPI.
Your friends are right.
7.5 with 1600 dpi doesn't even take 4cm to do a 360°. CS:GO pros play around 53cm/360° for comparison.
Vegeta would be triggered for sure
Finally a high dpi player like me!
i tho i playing at 1200 dpi on apex is crazy, but she is in whole other level
Ah yes Finana's cursed mouse. She's using mouse horizontally afterall. She might need it xD
Yeah you're probably right lol
I used to play on 3600DPI for years and it took me a very long time to lower that even by a bit, currently sitting at 1000, and will not go lower.
i used to run 2600 dpi back in the day, but i moved to 1600dpi in an attempt to lower hardware mouse acceleration (also back in the day) yes i am old :c now, i tuned my mouse sens to something that feels the most natural for me to track targets accurately without second guessing my initial flicks... that landed me at 1100 dpi. was at 1000, but with in game sens modifiers set to what they were, 180 flicks took too much room, so i had to raise it a bit :/ i will still move my mouse a good 50cm for a 180 flick XD
i was pretty accurate with quick scope sniper shots at 2600dpi, but man tracking was hard. my heart beat would be enough to cause overshoot in recoil correction while tracking if i used a full auto gun. semi auto even worse because the mouse had additional movement every time i clicked. but perhaps the biggest and most annoying issue of high dpi, making small accurate corrections with high dpi when the mouse becomes stationary momentarily on the table/mouse pad. depending on the material of the mouse feet and the table, the transition from not moving to moving can be abrupt resulting in constant overshooting when tracking.
