    Came here and gave a thumbs up. But i wont even bother watching. I honestly do not care whatsoever whats going on with any EV. 😊

      I agree. Any EV is just another bad idea. No infrastructure. Rediculous.

      @fbksakskier yes, you could. Across vast areas of the US. Cars were only prevalent in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic. It took decades. As for EVs..... they are still a relative oddity across most of the US
      Why? Too expensive and a limited use profile. There are only so many people that can afford a $50k vehicle. If it works for you, great. Let the rest of us make our own choices.

    • @asajayunknown6290
      @asajayunknown6290 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @fbksakskier The Model T is what popularized the automobile. Henry Ford's mantra to build something his assembly line workers could afford was the key. In the US, that's roughly a five year loan for $400-500 per month. Nothing in the market, EV or ICE, at that price point.

    I was looking into possibly purchasing an affordable EV as a second car. The insurance on even a used one is cost prohibitive. I felt any fuel savings was just transferred to them.

    You packed a lot of high value content into an efficient review. My wife and I bought one of these and we love it. And it is good as a primary vehicle.

    Great review, Lauren. While I’m not an EV fan for a variety of reasons (the price points are way too high for an underwhelming experience, to say nothing about the EV limitations staring you in the face like range, charging times, insurance costs and claims including totaling nearly new vehicles, charging infrastructure limitations, recycling challenges), you gave good use cases, warranty info, things to watch out for during model evaluation, competitor choices, lots of very useful information. I watched another TH-cam channel today that reviewed the same Equinox EV. It was not nearly as comprehensive or useful as your review. You do great work!!!

    As a 4.5-year Chevy Bolt EV owner, I don't really see a whole lot of improvement over my Bolt. The Equinox looks like a face-lifted Bolt on steroids.
    Nah. I'd rather stick to my beloved Bolt and wait for that 3-gen Bolt EV that GM promised to roll out next year. Hope it will offer more value for less money.

      @@paulholterhaus7084 I seriously doubt that you've ever driven a Chevrolet Bolt EV in good working condition. With its 200 hp, instant torque, and 0-60 in 6.5 seconds - it is anything BUT a hay wagon.

      Had 2 bolt euvs, got the equinox about a week ago. Love it so far. Definitely some things better with bolt, but overall equinox ev is way better. More space, better ride and 70 more miles range. Gm is offering an extra $2,500 rebate for current bolt owners

    With a short and shitty range of only 319 miles? Hell no! Now the ice chevy Equinox has a range of 417 miles. Takes 3 minutes to fuel, takes 20 to 30 minutes to charge. You see short down times and long range continues to be reserved for gas cars only. The standard ice chevy Equinox starts at $20,995 or $31,995 for 4 wheel drive 2025. The Chevy Equinox starts at $41,900. As for me, i fuel up once a month at 3 to 5 minutes depending on wether or not i run in for a coffee. 570 miles of range and paid off at 41K. Ummm i think I'll keep my jaguar XJl and leave well enough alone....

Now put this in an EV, Now we're talkin!!! I'll be the first one at the gates to buy one immediately! Till they are improved, I'll keep the 3 minutes of down times and for a range of 570 miles. Even the good people at Tesla in Philadelphia Pennsylvania told me quote, "Have patience for that day is coming." So I'll have patience and waite...

      @@markfitzpatrick6692 Oh no! 319 miles of range is not bad at all. But, with experience, 570 miles of range is better especially for as far as i and many like me has to travel. If i had a gas car that offers me 300 miles of range, it still only takes 3 minutes to fuel up for that 300 miles of range. I dont have to plug in and sit 20 to 40 minutes to obtain that 300 miles. All im saying is, improve the EV and i will even beat you to the gates to buy one immediately...
