Obviously you can't stop capitalism or climate change by forming a friend group or joining the local music scene, but still, being more community focused, even for introverts, is really important. It can make us feel like the things we do truly have purpose, we can see that someone else outside us finds it useful or cool too. And just in general it's just good for your mental health, we are social animals, we are kinda wired this way for lack of a better term.

thanks for sharing your perspective! i feel like optimism is stigmatized, especially nowadays. it's super super easy to be miserable and complacent. a good way out of stagnation, as you mentioned in the video, is to DO SOMETHING! even if it's just a baby step, it's one step towards SOMETHING. don't wait for someone to tell you what to do! we got this bros 😎
Gen Z is the first generation in history that has not a goal of purpose set by the previous generations to follow and has to make one on it's own. Things just collapsed and left there for Gen Z to fix them. It is really the generation of the hard times. But are some things like politics and international relations that in past looked secondary now seem to accelerate. It seems like a transitional phase. I imagine it as when the Black Death ended the Middle Ages and brought a new world and the Renaissance. Only now it more of a post-Apocalyptic world. The past was probably not better. It more looked so and society didn't have to worry. But then we run out of ideas to distract ourselves.

"dont stop dont give up! i believe in you!" ahh video all jokes aside i needed to hear this, and i agree. we gone be alright. we are still so young man.
Life is so random. Opportunities come all the time, but we just got a notice them and act. Opportunities are so subtle though so people never really notice. Our generation needs to learn Patience to. I had to push myself a lot to get to where I am. I’m just happy I was patient with myself. Like you, I’m having the best time of my life. There’s more I need to do and I’m doing it. It just takes so much time, patience, and consistency. You made a great video. Keep it going!!
One thing I want to say about the topic, and I don't know if you touched on this on this videos, is that, gen alpha, isn't doomed to be a permanently online generation that won't ammount to anything in their lives, I'm a gen z, my younger brother, is a gen alpha, he's smarter than I was at his age, he shows me genuine want to learn, to make connections, something I didn't, and he isn't the only one, my friends brother acts very similarly. All I want to say is that, kids can enjoy very stupid stuff, I know because I was one, who never watched a dumb youtube video when they were kids? We're probably only acting like it's doomed because, aside from gen z, they are the only ones who get access to this type of content, sure, there are some bad apples here and there, like elsagate, but they aren't doomed, maybe we should stop acting as if them watching a stupid source animation was the end of the world. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
Hm, some may be permafried but the good news is by the time gen A grows up, everyone will know the consequences of terminally onlineism and there will be systems in place to rehab and warn people. Gen A may have it all out their system and they may want to retake real life. Hopefully...
@@chrisppraefecti373 Gen a is like, 14 at most, they ain't done for, sure, they talk differently, but that's a stupid complaint, every gen has their own quirks when it comes to talking, I think acting like that might make them feel worse than gen z is feeling right now, imagine hearing your whole generation is actually doomed since you're like, 10, I think saying those things aren't only lies, but might hurt them in the long run, we are making the same mistake the annoying old people do when they say that the new generation are a bunch of useless morons that won't ammount to anything.
I don't know if i technically count as a gen z person or not, considering i come from 2002, but i definitely understand the whole "Having a midlife crisis despite being in your 20s" thing. I treat every decision i make, every success and every failure... every wasted day spent either in laziness or anxiety (or some awful merging of the two)... as though it will impact the entire rest of my life and the potential output i have to give out to the world and people around me. I don't know if you are religious or not, but i am... and even though i still struggle a ton with my own personal issues and problems... things like being envious and lazy and struggling with a habitual want for things i cannot, nor shouldn't, have. But, God's been helping me slowly get better... and I know He's not done with me yet, because I was no accident. Its no accident that i'm here right now, at this time and in this place, and neither is your being here and making this wonderful blessed video an accident. There's a verse in God's word that says "Comparison is the thief of joy." ...and i feel that every day not just with social media... but just media and things we enjoy in general. Being connected with so many things that leave an impact... things that take up our memory like stories we love, games we play, content makers we enjoy from a distance... it leads us to want to make things like these of our own, things that will be remembered fondly and leave a positive impact. And when our own efforts to make these things aren't good enough... be it from self criticism and doubt, or fear, or frustration, or a lack of time or support, or simply unfortunate circumstances that make it fall through, we tend to treat it like "That's it. my dreams are over. I'm done. What can i do to contribute? What am i gonna do now?" But I have faith, and trust in God above, that each and every one of us was made with unique purpose... the ability to help and bring Christ-like joy and love to others in ways that are uniquely our own. I couldn't have made this video, but you did... and it fills me with hope. A bittersweet hope yes, but it still helped me in the moment to realize how much time i've been wasting by wishing I was someone else, someone who I'm not and don't need to be. Right now i'm almost done with nursing school... there are things ive been wanting to do for years that I am only just now beginning to see glimpses of... and despite it all being so close i am finding it hard to get pumped up about it even though this should be the most exciting time of my life. But i trust God, that I wasn't lead down this path just to give up at the end. I'm still here, still alive and breathing, and every day is a gift. So thank you for this video, and thank God for leading me to it. I hope and pray your channel prospers, and you can continue to uplift people in your own unique way! In Jesus name, amen.
