I´m going to change the fuel filter on my Vectra C soon too. I know it´s not rocket science to change a fuel filter, but this is a nice video that shows all the steps in an easy way.

When removing the old filter the yellow rubber seal inside the clamp can fall out. I didn't notice it and after fitting the new filter it was leaking fuel (a lot). Luckily found the yellow rubber seal and black plastic part on the ground.

ours started playing up this morning it starts will only idel a few seconds with loss of reves till it dies...when applyibng throttle it coughs an splutters ect....just hopeing its only a filkter as we have never replaced since we brought it 2nd hand
Based on the description it is difficult to advise anything, it is recommended to contact the car service.

Did you relieve the fuel line pressure first? Why does the fuel not just empty the whole tankfull all over the shop?
When the engine is on, there is no pressure in the fuel lines. That's why there is almost no fuel leaking.

The connector on the end of the fuel pipe coming down from the fuel tank has snapped in half. Do you know what it is called so I can buy a replacement part?

He don't show the flow direction of fuel. This is very important. After instaling the filter, start engine, and check leaking the fuel. If everythink is OK, good.
Thank you for your comment! On the filter housing, manufacturers draw an arrow that shows the direction of movement of the fuel. In new videos, we will definitely add this information to our viewers.

the hoses/pipes on mine will not come off i have the special pliars but the are stuck.
