    Not enough people encourage people to keep trying when the fishing is tough like you do. The thrill you show when a fish is in the boat is wonderful.

    I'm fairly new to your channel. I wanted to thank you for your vids and insight because within just a months time, I have been able to become a much better fisherman, and have been able to teach my wife and my two year old son to not just fish, but to catch and enjoy fishing very much! Recently with summer and hotter weather, it got pretty hard for a couple days, checked out a couple of your vids that made sense for the conditions, learned how to tie on drop shot and Carolina rigs and we started to catch some really nice numbers again! It's all thanks to you Flukemaster and your vids! We fish almost everyday, if I didn't come across your channel, I don't think my family and I would have enjoyed it as much. So here's to you! Thank you, you are the man!

    Flukemaster,
    I've been watching your videos for a few years now and wanted to say thanks for all the hard work and dedication to teaching us. I can't tell you how much your videos and techniques have helped me improve my fishing game! Congrats on "buying the farm" and the recent advances in your own life. If anyone deserves it, it's you! Have you ever thought about doing a video along the Potomac River in the Northern VA area? Lots of good bass, strikers and snakeheads! Could make some good videos!

    One of the best if not the best how to for finding bass I have ever seen. Showing the lake map and sonar for what you were seeing and looking for was a big plus. Keep up the hard work Gene!

    Best bass video I have seen. Love hearing your thought process, seeing the graph, and watching the struggle. Excellent cinematography as well. The GoPro is great, but the shallow depth of field from your real camera is just beautiful. Thumbs up for the twilight time lapse as well. 10/10. Keep it up.

      @ThunderCoopersmith 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +TM Miner I grew up using CRigs to figure out the bottom. You don't need $2000 electronics.

    • @ryanharris9065
      @ryanharris9065 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +ThunderCoopersmith you don't need any electronics bass are every where man at least where I live in nh it's not a challenging fish at all throw a rubber worm in the water and you'll catch a fish now try Muskie or pike even trout fishing is where the challenge is at

    • @ThunderCoopersmith
      @ThunderCoopersmith 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ryan Harris LK Well bass are definitely a challenge fish, hence the Bass master series. There's a reason you've never heard of catfish masters, because it's definitely not a challenge. But it's more so hear because apparently it isn't like it is there.

    Gene! This is some of your all time best work. Old school Flukemaster style content. Just improved in every way. Maybe did not catch tons of fish but it does not matter. There is much to be learned watching this video, everything is explained well, we can understand the hows and whys. I prefer to learn how to find a few bites when it is tough on a public lake over watching youtubers catch 8 pounders on private stocked ponds. This is the Gene Jensen I subscribed to years ago!

    Great video Gene. What do you think about 70-75F temperature ? Are they going to hang around 1-2 feet of water in the glaring sun still under grass/lilpads, even if it's not Texas style water temp? I can't find largemouths when it gets too hot. I've never seen one in over 5 feet of water. I fish a river mainly.

I have tons of questions but one stands out in this video, why the plum crazy in deep water?? Being that red is usually the first to disappear... Another is a good medium heavy rod for Texas rigs and jigs in moderate cover for around the 100 mark?? Thanks again!!

    Hey, Gene, thanks for the video. I've been waiting a long time for another summer informational video. I have a scenario for you. The only time I get to fish out of a boat (a 14 ft Jon boat) is during the summer at my wife's family's lake house. it's a TVA lake in TN (Center Hill lake if you were wondering). I only really get to fish from 5 am to 9 and am predominantly hitting the bank with buzzbaits since I can cover water and only have a 30 lb hand controlled trolling motor for boat control. It's a really steep and rocky lake. I've been skunked the last few times I was out and am wondering what you would do in a similar situation with a really crappy piranha fish finder that can't take speeds faster than trolling?

    Hey Gene, how about a video of you breaking down a lake from a kayak. I think there are a lot of viewers who would really benefit from it. (where to start, why, electronics, etc). Tracking down bass from a kayak brings some different challenges into play than when fishing from a boat. would really enjoy your take on it.

    Watch your videos with my son. He's 5 and young but I think he enjoys fishing (that or he just enjoys spending time with me and just doesn't like to say it). I always learn a few things (admittedly a saltwater fisherman most my life as I live on the gulf coast). Our new move changed that as there is about a 1/4-1/2 acre pond in the back yard so it's good easy practice.
    I enjoy fishing soft plastic a lot more here as well, you know there is fish in it. Don't always the case with saltwater and piers.

    When you are fishing deep do you still stay above the thermocline? Thermocline at my local lake is at 12-14' right now, so I have been looking off points where the bottom is right at the level of the thermocline, but the lake gets as deep as ~30' in spots and I haven't looked that deep.
