i watched these media availability interviews religiously last year and i feel like they taught me so many things that i was able to apply to my life and i dont even hoop haha. totally forgot about this part of thunder ball when getting excited for the season to start and def didn’t expect to get any for training camp. what a cool surprise :’)
ayee i love that!! im a lifelong diehard knick fan but i started watching okc towards the end of 22-23. def my 1b team! too fun to watch, too good of vibes
I need to see an improved passing ability from SGA and j dub and im praying J dub and Chet took a leap as scorers and at least one of them hopefully j dub can up his ppg to 22 this year
yeah really no need for Shai to be scoring 30+ ppg with that much talent on the team, unless he's gunning for mvp. I'd say 25-26 ppg and getting your teammates involved can get you noticed for mvp too.
@@metsrus Shai should still be a 30ppg guy. GS and the 90's Bulls had way more weapons than y'all and Steph and Jordan still averaged 30+ppg. Y'all only have 3 consistent weapons. After that, nobody is a consistent 10ppg scorer besides Dort. SGA's dominant scoring will be the key to the team's success. The Cavs title team, Kobe's Lakers, Kawhi's Raptors, the Bucks title team, all had more weapons and still has a 30ppg guy on it. Based on previous dominant champion teams, the ideal stat breakdown should be something like: SGA 30-32pts, 5asts, and 5rebs JDub 20-23 and 7asts, 4rebs Chet 17-20pts, 9-10 rpg, 1-2blks Hart 10pts, 9-12rebs, 1-2 blks From there Dort, Caruso, and another player or two should be hovering around 9-12ppg. Now, JDUb as the #2 guy is who you really want being the bigger facilitator because it allows everyone to play to a different primary strength. You don't have a dominant scorer like Shai and tell him not to score big buckets. You feed his scoring to make it easier for everyone else. Now, the improved defense and guys improving their spot up shooting should mean more easy baskets for SGA on down the line. If Presti would've coughed up a pick or two to get a better two way player who can score big time, then maybe Shai could cut back his scoring. But, this team is not built to spread the points out that much because you don't have any reliable scorers outside your big 3.
Play in tournament? We were the 1st seed last year and we will be one of the top 3 teams this year too. We are past thinking about being a play in team.
